Power requirements

WARNING Tools with double insulation are equipped with a polarized plug (one prong is wider than the other). This plug will only fit in the right way into a polarized outlet. If the plug cannot be introduced into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still doesn’t fit, call a qualified electrician to install for you a polarized outlet. Do not alter the plug in any way. Double insulation eliminates the need of both a grounded third power cord with three prongs or a grounded power connection.

WARNING When using an extension cable, verify the gauge is enough for the power that your product needs. A lower gauge cable will cause voltage drop in the line, resulting in power loss and overheating. The following table shows the right size to use depending on cable’s length and the ampere capability shown in the tool’s nameplate. When in doubt use the next higher gauge.

General power tools safety warnings

WARNING! Read carefully all safety warnings and instruction listed below. Failure to comply with any of these warnings may result in electric shock, fire and / or severe damage. Save all warnings and instructions for future references.

Work area Keep your work area clean, and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas may cause accidents.

Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothes and gloves away from the moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair may get caught in moving parts.

Never use the tool in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Sparks generated by power tools may ignite the flammable material.

If you have dust extraction and recollection devices connected onto the tool, inspect their connections and use them correctly. Using these devices reduce dust-related risks.

Keep children and bystanders at a safe distance while operating the tool. Distractions may cause loosing control.
Electrical Safety The tool plug must match the power outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with grounded power tools. Modified plugs and different power outlets increase the risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, electric ranges and refrigerators. The risk of electric shock increases if your body is grounded.

Power Tools Use and Care Do not force the tool. Use the adequate tool for your application. The correct tool delivers a better and safer job at the rate for which it was designed.
Do not use the tool if the switch is not working properly. Any power tool that cannot be turned ON or OFF is dangerous and should be repaired before operating.
Disconnect the tool from the power source and / or battery before making any adjustments, changing accessories or storing. These measures reduce the risk of accidentally starting the tool.

Do not expose the tool to rain or wet conditions. Water entering into the tool increases the risk of electric shock.
Do not force the cord. Never use the cord to carry, lift or unplug the tool. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Using an adequate outdoor extension cord reduces the risk of electric shock.
If operating the tool in a damp location cannot be avoided, use a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protected supply. Using a GFCI reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of distraction while operating the tool may result in personal injury.

Store tools out of the reach of children. Do not allow persons that are not familiar with the tool or its instructions to operate the tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Service the tool. Check the mobile parts are not misaligned or stuck. There should not be broken parts or other conditions that may affect its operation. Repair any damage before using the tool. Most accidents are caused due to poor maintenance to the tools.
Keep the cutting accessories sharp and clean. Cutting accessories in good working conditions are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
The machine must not be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities; nor by persons with no experience or knowledge in its use, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received prior instructions on the use of the machine. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the machine.

Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as safety glasses, anti-dust mask, non-skid shoes, hard hats and hearing protection used in the right conditions significantly reduce personal injury.

Use the tool, components and accessories in accordance with these instructions and the projected way to use it for the type of tool when in adequate working conditions. Using the tool for applications different from those it was designed for, could
result in a hazardous situation.

Prevent unintentional starting up. Ensure the switch is in the “OFF” position before connecting into the power source and / or battery as well as when carrying the tool. Transporting power tools with the finger on the switch or connecting power tools with the switch in the “ON” position may cause accidents.
Remove any wrench or vice before turning the power tool on. Wrenches or vices left attached to rotating parts of the tool may result in personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables a better control on the tool during unexpected situations.

Use and care of the battery-operated tool Recharge only with the charger specified by TRUPER. The charger specified for one battery may cause a fire hazard if used with another battery.
Use batteries specifically designed for the tool. Use of any other battery may result in danger of fire damage.
When the battery is not in use, keep it away from any metallic object such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or any metallic object that can make a connection between the terminals. A short circuit between the terminals can cause burns or fire.

In severe conditions, liquid may leak from the battery; avoid contact. If there is accidental contact, wash the area with water. In case of eye contact, seek medical attention. Spilled liquid may cause irritation or burns.
Service Repair the tool at an Authorized TRUPER Service Center using only identical replacement parts. To maintain the safety of the tool.
This tool is in compliance with the Official Mexican Standard (NOM – Norma Oficial Mexicana).

Batteries and charger
DANGER · Use only Truper Max chargers to charge the tool battery. Using any other charger may result in fire or risk of injury.
DANGER · Use only batteries designed specifically for the tool. Other batteries may create a risk of injury or fire. · Connect the charger to an alternating current (AC) supply only.
DANGER · Do not use the charger outdoors. · Observe “+/-” polarity when charging. · Never recharge a leaking battery. · Do not use batteries or the charger for purposes other than those for which they were designed. · Do not modify the battery or charger contacts. · Never expose the batteries to temperatures higher than 112 °F (50 °C).
DANGER · Never expose batteries to the fire, they may explode.
CAUTION · Batteries should be kept away from any metal objects such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or any other object that could cause the terminals to make contact,coins, keys, nails, screws or any other object that could cause the terminals to make contact, as this will cause a short circuit that could cause burns or fire.
CAUTION · Under extreme conditions, the battery liquid may leak. If so, avoid any contact. If accidental contact occurs, wash with abundant water, rinse with lemon juice and vinegar. If the liquid enters in contact with the eyes, wash with abundant water during several minutes and look for medical help immediately. The liquid expelled from the batteries could cause irradiation or burns.
CAUTION · To maximize battery life, fully discharge the battery at least once a month. Do not leave the battery without recharging for more than three months. Always charge the battery to its maximum capacity. Before using the machine for the first time, charge the battery for a minimum of 1 hour 20 minutes. · Avoid overcharging the string trimmer while mowing to prevent damage to the battery.

Familiarize yourself with the controls and proper use of the string trimmer. · Wear eye protection. · Never allow children or persons unfamiliar with the string trimmer to operate it. · Avoid using the string trimmer while people, especially children or pets, are around. · Use the string trimmer only in daylight or when there is good lighting. · Start the engine only when hands and feet are away from the cutting elements. · Never assemble metal cutting elements. · Use only manufacturer’s recommended replacement parts and accessories. · Always disconnect the string trimmer batteries when not in use and before performing maintenance or cleaning. · Inspect and service the equipment regularly. The equipment should only be serviced by an authorized service center. · Be careful not to injure yourself with the knife to adjust the length of the nylon line. · Keep the string trimmer out of the reach of children when not in use. · Carefully inspect the area to be trimmed for any obstacles and remove foreign objects that may be thrown by the string trimmer. Failure to do so may result in an accident and reduce the life of the tool.
CAUTION · The area to be trimmed must be well lit.
CAUTION · Make sure that the string trimmer has all its parts in good condition and that the cutting line guard is properly installed. Do not use the string trimmer if the guard is damaged or parts are missing.

While using the string trimmer
CAUTION · Do not use the string trimmer near other people, children or animals.
WARNING · Never allow the cutting head to exceed 12″ in height and do not point it at people or animals.
WARNING · Use the string trimmer to cut only at ground level, never use it to cut vegetation on stones or walls.
CAUTION · Do not walk on gravel floors with the string trimmer running, the cutting line can throw gravel fragments at the operator or others causing injury.
WARNING · Keep hands and feet away from the cutting head while the string trimmer is running.
DANGER · When working near roadways, stop cutting until there are no vehicles in sight. Foreign particles that may be thrown by the string trimmer into moving vehicles can cause a serious accident.

After using the string trimmer
WARNING · The cutting elements continue to rotate after the engine is turned off. · Do not attempt to stop the rotating motion of the cutting line in any way other than releasing the switch. Wait for the reel to stop by itself after turning the string trimmer off, this will take a few seconds.

· Match the slot in the guard (I) with the notch in the cutting head (J). · Secure the guard to the cutting head with the three screws provided.

· When using the string trimmer with the string trimmer head (K), the guard extension (L) must be installed. – Attach the extension to the guard by means of the two
screws provided.

Straight shaft

· Match the notch in the straight shaft (F) with the slot in

the mount hole (G).

· Insert the straight shaft into the mounting hole as far as it

will go to make the electrical connection.

· Tighten the butterfly knob (H) to secure the straight shaft

in place.

Bicycle type handle adjustment

· To adjust the bicycle type handle (C), loosen the knob

(A), move the handle to the most comfortable position for

the operator and tighten the knob.

· Attach the harness latch to the axle eye. · The eyelet has a screw to secure its position. Loosen the screw with the Allen wrench, run the eye along the shaft to the most comfortable position for the operator and then tighten the screw.

Preparations

Installing the blade
· Insert the insulating gasket (A1) and steel washer (A2) into the cutting head shaft base (C). · Place the receiving washer (B) in the spindle of the cutting head shaft (C). · Align the blade (D) onto the receiving washer (B). · Place the retaining plate (E) over the blade. · Secure the blade by attaching the lock nut (F). · Insert the locking pin (G) into the side of the receiving washer (B) to hold the shaft in place, then tighten the lock nut counterclockwise using the provided wrench (H). · Use the guard without the extension attached. Refer to the Guard section (page 8) for more details.

Installing the trimmer spool
· Place the insulating gasket (A1) and steel washer (A2) into the cutting head shaft base (C). · Place the receiving washer (B) in the spindle of the cutting head shaft (C). · Position the retaining washer (I) over the receiving washer (B). · Insert the locking pin (G) into the side of the receiving washer (B) to secure the shaft. · Screw the threaded spool (J) onto the shaft by hand, turning it counterclockwise to tighten. · Use the guard with the extension attached. Refer to the Guard section (page 8) for more details.

Battery charging

1. Plug the charger plug into a 127 V~ outlet. (The green

charging indicator light will turn on).

2. Insert the batteries into the charger by sliding it as shown

in the picture. The green light should turn off and the red

light should light up, indicating that charging has started.

· When the battery is fully charged, the green light will turn

on and the red light will turn off.

· Disconnect the charger from the power supply when

charging is complete.

· If the red light exceeds the recommended charging time,

it is a sign that the battery is defective., replace it with a new

one.

· If the red-light flashes, it is a sign that the battery temperature is below 32 °F or above 167 °F. Wait until the battery

temperature is in the proper range before charging.

Considerations for battery use

The battery comes DISCHARGED from the factory. You will need to charge it for approximately 1 hour 20 minutes before you can use it. The normal charging temperature is 32 °F to 113 °F. Outside this range, charging is automatically suspended until it reaches the correct temperature. The normal discharge / working temperature is 32 °F to 167 °F. If 167 °F is exceeded, the electronic control shuts off the power to the tool until the temperature reaches the optimum temperature range again. When the battery is below normal voltage during work, the tool stops working. Between each charge, give the charger 15 minutes rest. In a hot environment or after prolonged use, the battery may become too hot to be recharged. Allow the battery to cool before attempting to recharge.

respective receptacles.

· Slide the battery into its receptacle until you hear a click to

make sure they are correctly inserted.

· To remove the batteries, press the latch (A) and slide the

battery out.

· To make sure the batteries are charged, press the

indicator button (B) next to each battery. The color of the

light indicates the charge level.

Tool/battery protection system
CAUTION · The tool is equipped with a system that automatically stops the tool to prolong both its useful life and that of the batteries, this happens in the following cases: Overload. When the tool is forced, the batteries consume abnormally high current levels. Suspend overexertion work and turn the tool back on. Overheating. Let the tool and batteries cool before turning it back on. Over-discharge. The batteries level is low. In this case, remove the batteries from the tool and charge them.

· To start the string trimmer, hold down the switch lock (C) and pull the trigger switch (D). · The switch lock (C) prevents accidental starting. · To turn the string trimmer off, release the trigger switch (D) · In case the blade gets stuck in the brush, release the switch trigger (D), press the reverse button (E) and pull the switch trigger again.

Operation
CAUTION · Remember that you as the string trimmer operator are responsible for your safety, as well as the safety of those in the vicinity of the work area. Follow all safety rules (pages 4 and 5) before operating the tool. · Maintain a balanced stance with both feet firmly on the ground. · Hold the string trimmer firmly in front of you with both hands so that the tool is in line with your body and pointing the cutting head 30° down, away from your feet.
DANGER · Do not start or operate the string trimmer in any other position. · Start the string trimmer and make cuts from left to right by rotating your waist while maintaining the position of the tool.

Cutting with cutting wire
· As the grass is cut, the cutting line will wear out and eventually come off. To release more line from the reel, push the string trimmer down a little so that the ground presses the retaining cap against the reel and releases more line. The excess string will be cut off by the guard blade, at this point stop pushing the string trimmer against the ground to avoid wasting string. · When cutting tall weeds or grass, cut them gradually, do not try to cut them all at once from the base, as the residue may jam the cutting head or cause you to lose control of the string trimmer.
Cutting wire spool
· With the string trimmer off and the batteries removed, remove the reel retaining cap (A) by pressing the release buttons by hand. · Remove the empty spool, make sure it is clean and has no damaged or worn parts. · Cut a piece of thread 10 ft long. · Fold the thread in half, and insert it into the notch. · Take both threads and wind them in the direction of the arrow marked on the spool. Make sure that each piece of thread is twisted in its respective section (top and bottom). Do not tangle too much yarn, after tangling, there should be a minimum distance of 6 mm between the edge of the spool and the tangled thread. · Leave approximately 6″ of both untangled threads. · Place the spool back in its cover (H) by thread the ends of each thread through the holes in the cover. · Attach the retaining cap and push down until the two retaining latches click back. · Recommended for use with 2.4 mm diameter cutting wire model (HDU-12-95, HTA-95B, HTA-95, HLB-95, HTR3-95)

Troubleshooting

Problem
String trimmer loses efficiency.

Cause
· Low battery.

Solution
· Charge the battery.

Trigger cannot be pulled.

· The switch lock is locked.

· Press the switch lock to unlock.

Trigger can be pulled but head will not rotate. The battery is leaking.

· The battery is not charged. · Tiny drips may occur in extreme temperatures or after heavy use, this is normal. · Heavy or very noticeable dripping is due to a damaged battery.

· Charge the battery. · Immediately clean liquid from skin or clothing with soap and water. ·Replace the battery immediately.

Battery does not charge and charge level indicator light does not turn on.

· Charger connection improperly installed on battery. · Incorrect charger connection to the socket.

· Insert the charger connection to the battery correctly. · Check that the charger plug is properly connected to the socket.

· Tool service should only be performed at TRUPER. Service and maintenance by unqualified persons can be dangerous and may result in personal injury and void the product warranty.

Environmental protection
Electrical appliances and batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. Please deliver this appliance and its batteries with the contacts insulated with adhesive cloth to a recycling center. Check the location of the nearest center in your community.

Limpieza y cuidados
· Inspeccione regularmente todos los tornillos de montaje y asegúrese de que estén apretados correctamente. En caso de que alguno de los tornillos esté suelto, apriételo inmediatamente. · Use un paño limpio y suave para limpiar la herramienta. Nunca use alcohol o detergente. Remueva las baterías de la herramienta antes de limpiarla.

· El servicio de las herramientas debe ser realizado únicamente en un Centro de Servicio Autorizado TRUPER. El servicio y mantenimiento realizado por personas no calificadas puede resultar peligroso y llegar a ocasionar daños personales además de invalidar la garantía del producto.

· Los aparatos eléctricos y las baterías no deben desecharse junto con los desperdicios domésticos. Por favor, entregue este aparato, así como sus baterías con los contactos aislados con tela adhesiva a un centro de reciclaje. Verifique la ubicación del centro más cercano a su comunidad.

Corte con hilo de corte
· Conforme se realice el corte de pasto el hilo de corte se desgastará y terminará por desprenderse, para liberar más hilo del carrete presione un poco la desbrozadora hacia abajo para que el suelo presione la tapa de retención contra el carrete y libere más hilo. El sobrante será cortado por la cuchilla de la guarda, en ese instante deje de empujar la desbrozadora contra el piso para no gastar hilo. · Para cortar maleza o pasto altos hágalo gradualmente, no intente cortarlo de una sola vez desde la base, pues los residuos pueden atascar el cabezal de corte o hacerle perder el control de la desbrozadora.

Carrete de hilo de corte

· Con la desbrozadora apagada y las baterías retiradas,

retire la tapa de retención del carrete (A) apretando los

botones de liberación con la mano.

· Retire el carrete vacío, asegúrese de que esté limpio y

que no tenga partes dañadas o gastadas.

· Corte una pieza de hilo de 3 m de longitud

aproximadamente.

· Doble el hilo por la mitad, e insértelo en la muesca.

· Tome ambos hilos y enrédelos en el sentido horario sobre el

carrete. Asegúrese de que cada pieza de hilo se enrede en su

sección respectiva (superior e inferior). No enrede

demasiado hilo, después de enredarlo debe quedar una

distancia mínima de 6 mm entre el borde del carrete y el

hilo enredado.

· Deje sin enredar aproximadamente 6″ (15 cm) de ambos

hilos.

· Coloque de nuevo el carrete en su cubierta (H) haciendo

pasar los extremos de cada hilo por los orificios de la

cubierta.

· Coloque la tapa de retención y empuje hacia abajo hasta

que los dos seguros de retención hagan click.

· Se recomienda utilizar con hilos de corte de 2.4 mm de

diámetro modelo (HDU-12-95, HTA-95B, HTA-95, HLB-95,

HTR3-95)

Preparación

Baterías
· Una vez cargadas las baterías, insértelas en sus respectivos receptáculos. · Deslice la batería en su receptáculo hasta escuchar un click para asegurarse de que estén bien colocadas. · Para retirar las baterías presione el seguro (A) y deslice la batería hacia afuera. · Para asegurarse de que las baterías estén cargadas presione el botón indicador (B) al lado de cada batería. El color de la luz indica el nivel de carga.
Sistema de protección herramienta / batería
ATENCIÓN · La herramienta está equipada con un sistema que detiene automáticamente la herramienta para prolongar tanto su vida útil como la de las baterías, esto sucede en los siguientes casos: Sobrecarga. Cuando se fuerza la herramienta las baterías consumen niveles de corriente anormalmente altos. Suspenda el trabajo de sobreesfuerzo y encienda de nuevo la herramienta. Sobrecalentamiento. Deje que la herramienta y las baterías se enfríen antes de volver a encenderla. Sobredescarga. El nivel de las baterías no es suficiente. En este caso, retire las baterías de la herramienta y cargue las baterías.

ATENCIÓN · Recuerde que usted como operador de la desbrozadora es responsable de su seguridad, así como de quienes se encuentren cerca del área de trabajo. Siga todas las normas de seguridad (páginas 4 y 5) antes de operar la herramienta. · Mantenga una postura equilibrada con ambos pies apoyados firmemente en el piso. · Sostenga la desbrozadora con firmeza frente a usted con ambas manos, de manera que la herramienta quede alineada a su cuerpo y apuntando el cabezal de corte 30° hacia abajo, lejos de sus pies.
PELIGRO · No encienda ni opere la desbrozadora en cualquier otra posición. · Encienda la desbrozadora y realice los cortes de izquierda a derecha rotando su cintura manteniendo la posición de la herramienta.

· Inserte la junta aislante (A1) y la rondana de acero (A2) en la base del eje del cabezal de corte (C). · Coloque la arandela de recepción (B) en el eje del cabezal de corte (C). · Coloque la cuchilla (D) sobre la arandela de recepción (B). · Coloque el retén (E) sobre la cuchilla. · Coloque la tuerca de seguridad (F). · Inserte la varilla del pasador (G) en el costado de la arandela de recepción (B) para bloquear el eje y apriete la tuerca de seguridad en sentido antihorario con la llave incluida (H). · Utilice la guarda sin la extensión. Consulte el apartado de Guarda (pág. 8).

Carga de las baterías

1. Conecte la clavija del cargador en un tomacorriente de

127 V~ (La luz verde del indicador de carga se encenderá).

2. Inserte las baterías en el cargador deslizándola como se

muestra en la imagen. La luz verde se apagará y la luz roja

deberá encenderse, indicando que la carga se ha iniciado.

· Cuando la batería se encuentre completamente cargada,

la luz verde se encenderá y la roja se apagará.

· Desconecte el cargador de la corriente una vez concluida

la carga.

· Si la luz roja supera el tiempo de carga recomendado es

señal de que la batería está defectuosa, reemplácela por

una nueva.

· Si la luz roja parpadea es señal de que la temperatura de la batería es menor a 0 °C o mayor a 75 °C. Espere a que la

temperatura de la batería se encuentre en el rango adecuado para poder cargarla.

Consideraciones para el uso de la batería

La batería viene DESCARGADA de fábrica. Será necesario que la cargue por aproximadamente 1 hora 20 minutos antes de poder usarla. La temperatura normal de carga es de 0 °C a 45 °C Fuera de este rango se suspende la carga automáticamente hasta que alcance la temperatura correcta. La temperatura normal de descarga / trabajo es de 0 °C a 75 °C. Si los 75 °C se exceden, el control electrónico apaga la energía de la herramienta hasta que la temperatura alcance de nuevo el rango óptimo de temperatura. Cuando la batería está debajo de la tensión normal durante el trabajo, la herramienta deja de funcionar. Entre cada carga, dé al cargador 15 minutos de descanso. En un ambiente cálido o después de uso prolongado, es posible que la batería se caliente demasiado como para ser recargada. Permita que la batería se enfríe antes de intentar recargarla.

· Para ajustar el mango tipo bici (C), afloje la perilla (A),

mueva el mango a la posición más cómoda para el

operador y apriete la perilla.

· Coloque el seguro del arnés en la argolla del eje. · La argolla tiene un tornillo para fijar su posición. Afloje el tornillo con la llave allen, recorra la argolla por el eje a la posición más cómoda para el operador y luego apriete el tornillo.

Advertencias de seguridad para uso de desbrozadoras eléctricas

ADVERTENCIA · Utilice únicamente hilo de nailon original, y por ningún motivo reemplazarlo por hilo de metal.
ADVERTENCIA · Para evitar descargas eléctricas evite realizar trabajos en ambientes húmedos, mientras llueva y/o cortar césped con rocío.

Mientras utiliza la desbrozadora
ATENCIÓN · No utilice la desbrozadora cerca de otras personas, niños o animales.
ADVERTENCIA · Nunca permita que el cabezal de corte sobrepase los 30 cm de altura y no lo dirija a personas o animales.
ADVERTENCIA · Utilice la desbrozadora para cortar únicamente a nivel del piso, por ningún motivo la utilice para cortar vegetación sobre piedras o paredes.
ATENCIÓN · No camine por suelos de graba con la desbrozadora funcionando, el hilo de corte puede lanzar fragmentos de graba al operador u otras personas provocando lesiones.
ADVERTENCIA · No acerque las manos o los pies al cabezal de corte mientras la desbrozadora está funcionando.
PELIGRO · En caso de realizar trabajos cerca de vías de tránsito suspenda el corte hasta que no haya vehículos a la vista. Ya que las partículas extrañas que pueden ser lanzadas por la desbrozadora hacia los vehículos en movimiento pueden desencadenar un accidente grave.

Después de utilizar la desbrozadora
ADVERTENCIA · Los elementos de corte continúan girando después de apagar el motor. · No intente detener el movimiento giratorio del hilo de corte de ninguna otra forma que soltando el interruptor. Espere a que el carrete se detenga por sí mismo después de apagar la desbrozadora, esto demorará unos cuantos segundos.

Uso y cuidado de la herramienta a baterías Recargue sólo con el cargador especificado por TRUPER. El cargador indicado para una batería puede ocasionar peligro de incendio si se utiliza con otra batería.
Use baterías específicamente diseñadas para la herramienta. El uso de cualquier otra batería puede ocasionar peligro de daños e incendio.
Cuando la batería no esté en uso, manténgala alejado de cualquier objeto metálico como clips, monedas, llaves, clavos, tornillos o cualquier objeto metálico que pueda hacer conexión entre las terminales. Un cortocircuito entre las terminales puede ocasionar quemaduras o incendio.

En condiciones severas, puede derramarse líquido de la batería; evite el contacto. Si hay contacto accidental, lave la zona con agua. Si hay contacto con los ojos, busque ayuda médica. El líquido derramado puede causar irritación o quemaduras.
Servicio Repare la herramienta en un Centro de Servicio Autorizado TRUPER usando sólo piezas de repuesto idénticas. Para mantener la seguridad de la herramienta.

Advertencias de seguridad para uso de desbrozadoras eléctricas

Baterías y cargador
PELIGRO · Utilice únicamente cargadores Truper Max para cargar la batería de la herramienta. Usar otro cargador puede provocar un incendio o riesgos de lesión.
PELIGRO · Use únicamente baterías diseñadas específicamente para la herramienta. Otras baterías podrían generar riesgos de lesión o incendio. · Conecte el cargador únicamente a un suministro de corriente alterna (c.a.).
PELIGRO · No use el cargador a la intemperie. · Respete la polaridad “+/-” al cargar. · Nunca recargue una batería que gotee. · No use baterías o el cargador para propósitos distintos para los cuales fueron diseñados. · No modifique los contactos de la batería ni del cargador. · Nunca exponga las baterías a temperaturas superiores a 50 °C
PELIGRO · Nunca exponga las baterías al fuego, podrían explotar.
ATENCIÓN · Las baterías deben mantenerse alejadas de cualquier objeto metálico como clips, monedas, llaves, clavos, tornillos o cualquier otro objeto que pudiera hacer que las terminales hagan contacto; pues provocaría un cortocircuito que podría ocasionar quemaduras o incendios.
ATENCIÓN · Bajo condiciones extremas, el líquido de la batería podría derramarse. De ser así, evite cualquier contacto. De ocurrir contacto accidental, lave con agua abundante, enjuague con jugo de limón y vinagre. Si el líquido entrara en contacto con los ojos, lave con agua abundante durante varios minutos y busque ayuda médica de inmediato. El líquido expulsado de las baterías podría causar irradiación o quemaduras.
ATENCIÓN · Para maximizar la vida útil de la batería descárguela por completo por lo menos una vez al mes. No deje la batería sin recargar por más de tres meses. Siempre cargue la batería a su máxima capacidad. Antes de usar la máquina por primera vez, cargue la batería por un mínimo de 1 hora 20 minutos. ·Evite sobrecargar la desbrozadora mientras corta el césped, para evitar daños a la batería.

Antes de utilizar la desbrozadora
ATENCIÓN · Lea las instrucciones cuidadosamente. Familiarícese con los controles y el uso apropiado de la desbrozadora. · Utilice protección para los ojos. · Nunca permita que los niños o personas no familiarizadas con la desbrozadora la utilicen. · Evite el uso de la desbrozadora, mientras exista gente alrededor, especialmente niños o mascotas. · Utilice la desbrozadora únicamente a la luz del día o cuando exista una buena iluminación. ·Encienda el motor solo cuando las manos y los pies se encuentren alejados de los elementos de corte. · Nunca ensamble elementos de corte de metal distintos a los suministrados por el fabricante. · Utilice solamente las partes y accesorios de reemplazo recomendados por el fabricante. · Siempre desconecte las baterías de la desbrozadora cuando no se utilice y antes de llevar a cabo el mantenimiento o limpieza. · Inspeccione y brinde regularmente un mantenimiento al aparato. El equipo solo debe repararse en un centro de servicio autorizado. · Tenga cuidado de no lastimarse con la navaja para ajustar la longitud del hilo de nailon. · Cuando no utilice la desbrozadora manténgala lejos del alcance de los niños. · Inspeccione detenidamente el área que se va a recortar para evitar cualquier obstáculo y retirar objetos extraños que puedan ser lanzados por la desbrozadora. De lo contrario puede provocar un accidente y reducir la vida útil de la herramienta.
ATENCIÓN · El área que se va a recortar debe de estar perfectamente iluminada.
ATENCIÓN · Asegúrese de que la desbrozadora cuenta con todas sus partes en óptimo estado y tenga la guarda del hilo de corte debidamente colocada. No use la desbrozadora si la guarda está dañada o no cuenta con todas sus partes.

Advertencias generales de seguridad para herramientas eléctricas

¡ADVERTENCIA! Lea detenidamente todas las advertencias de seguridad y todas las instrucciones que se enlistan a continuación. La omisión de alguna de ellas puede dar como resultado un choque eléctrico, incendio y/o daño serio. Conserve las advertencias y las instrucciones para futuras referencias.

Área de trabajo Mantenga el área de trabajo limpia y bien iluminada. Las áreas desordenadas y obscuras son propensas a accidentes.
No maneje la herramienta en ambientes explosivos, como en presencia de líquido, gas o polvo inflamables. Las herramientas eléctricas producen chispas que pueden encender material inflamable.
Mantenga alejados a los niños y curiosos cuando opere la herramienta. Las distracciones pueden hacer que pierda el control.
Seguridad eléctrica La clavija de la herramienta debe coincidir con el tomacorriente. Nunca modifique una clavija. No use ningún tipo de adaptador para clavijas de herramientas puestas a tierra. Clavijas modificadas y enchufes diferentes aumentan el riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Evite el contacto del cuerpo con superficies puestas a tierra como tuberías, radiadores, cocinas eléctricas y refrigeradores. Hay un mayor riesgo de choque eléctrico si el cuerpo está puesto a tierra.
No exponga la herramienta a la lluvia o condiciones de humedad. El agua que ingresa en la herramienta aumenta el riesgo de choque eléctrico.

Retire cualquier llave o herramienta de ajuste antes de arrancar la herramienta eléctrica. Las llaves o herramientas que quedan en las partes rotativas de la herramienta pueden causar un daño personal.
No sobrepase su campo de acción. Mantenga ambos pies bien asentados sobre el suelo y conserve el equilibrio en todo momento. Esto permite un mejor control de la herramienta en situaciones inesperadas.
Vista adecuadamente. No vista ropa suelta o joyas. Mantenga su pelo, su ropa y guantes alejados de las piezas en movimiento. La ropa suelta, joyas o cabello largo pueden quedar atrapados en las piezas en movimiento.
En caso de contar con dispositivos de extracción y recolección de polvo conectados a la herramienta, verifique sus conexiones y úselos correctamente. El uso de estos dispositivos reduce los riesgos relacionados con el polvo.
Uso y cuidados de la herramienta No fuerce la herramienta. Use la herramienta adecuada para el trabajo a realizar. La herramienta adecuada hace un trabajo mejor y más seguro cuando se usa al ritmo para el que fue diseñada.

No fuerce el cable. Nunca use el cable para transportar, levantar o desconectar la herramienta. Mantenga el cable lejos del calor, aceite, orillas afiladas o piezas en movimiento. Los cables dañados o enredados aumentan el riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Cuando maneje una herramienta en exteriores, use una extensión especial para uso en exteriores. El uso de una extensión adecuada para exteriores reduce el riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Si el uso de la herramienta en un lugar húmedo es inevitable, use una alimentación protegida por un interruptor de circuito de falla a tierra (GFCI). El uso de un GFCI reduce el riesgo de choque eléctrico.

No use la herramienta si el interruptor no funciona. Cualquier herramienta eléctrica que no pueda encenderse o apagarse es peligrosa y debe repararse antes de ser operada.
Desconecte la herramienta de la fuente de alimentación y/o de la batería antes de efectuar cualquier ajuste, cambiar accesorios o almacenarla. Estas medidas reducen el riesgo de arrancar la herramienta accidentalmente.
Almacene las herramientas fuera del alcance de los niños y no permita su manejo por personas no familiarizadas con las herramientas o con las instrucciones. Las herramientas eléctricas son peligrosas en manos no entrenadas.

Seguridad personal Esté alerta, vigile lo que está haciendo y use el sentido común cuando maneje una herramienta. No la use si está cansado o bajo la influencia de drogas, alcohol o medicamentos. Un momento de distracción mientras maneja la herramienta puede
causar un daño personal.

Déle mantenimiento a la herramienta. Compruebe que las partes móviles no estén desalineadas o trabadas, que no haya piezas rotas u otras condiciones que puedan afectar su operación. Repare cualquier daño antes de usar la herramienta. Muchos accidentes son causados por el escaso mantenimiento de las
herramientas.

Use equipo de seguridad. Use siempre protección para los ojos. El uso de equipo de seguridad como lentes de seguridad, mascarilla antipolvo, zapatos antideslizantes, casco y protección para los oídos en condiciones apropiadas, reduce de manera significativa los daños personales.
Evite arranques accidentales. Asegúrese de que el interruptor está en posición “apagado” antes de conectar a la fuente de alimentación y/o a la batería o transportar la herramienta. Transportar herramientas eléctricas con el dedo sobre el interruptor o conectar herramientas eléctricas que tienen el interruptor en posición de “encendido” puede causar accidentes.

Mantenga los accesorios de corte afilados y limpios. Los accesorios de corte en buenas condiciones son menos probables de trabarse y más fáciles de controlar.
La máquina no debe de ser utilizada por niños ni por personas con capacidades físicas, sensoriales o mentales reducidas; tampoco por personas sin experiencia o conocimientos en su uso, a menos que estén supervisadas por una persona responsable de su seguridad o reciban instrucciones previas sobre el uso de la máquina. Los niños deben de estar bajo supervisión para asegurarse de que no juegen con la máquina.
Use la herramienta, sus componentes y accesorios de acuerdo con estas instrucciones y de la manera prevista para el tipo de herramienta, en condiciones de trabajo adecuadas. El uso de la herramienta para aplicaciones diferentes para las que está diseñada podría causar una situación de peligro.

Requerimientos eléctricos

ADVERTENCIA Las herramientas de doble aislamiento están equipadas con una clavija polarizada (una pata es más ancha que la otra). Esta clavija cabe en cualquier enchufe polarizado y sólo puede conectarse de una forma. Si la clavija no cabe en el enchufe, voltéelo. Si aún así no cabe, póngase en contacto con un electricista calificado o instale un enchufe polarizado. No altere la clavija en forma alguna. ADVERTENCIA Al usar un cable de extensión, asegúrese de usar el calibre suficiente para transportar la corriente que consumirá su herramienta.
