Measurement Setup
- Ensure the PosiTector SPG OS is powered on and the probe is securely connected.
Selecting Mode
Choose the appropriate mode for your measurement needs, such as Statistics Mode for detailed analysis.
Taking Measurements
- Place the probe on the surface to be measured and initiate the measurement. The device can measure over 50 readings per minute.
Data Management
- Utilize the touchscreen keyboard to rename batches, add notes, or use SmartBatchTM for compliance with standards.
Data Transfer
- Connect the PosiTector to a PC via the USB port for data transfer or utilize WiFi technology for wireless synchronization.

- The PosiTector SPG OS is a surface profile gage ideal for measuring the peak-to-valley surface profile height of flat or convex surfaces with an OD above 3mm (0.125”), such as pipes and tanks.
- An optional Large V-groove Adaptor is available to assist with probe placement when measuring on a pipe or tank with an OD between 30 cm (12”) and 46 cm (18”).
