THE CORRECT POSITION IN THE VEHICLE

Cybex-SOLUTION-G2-Child-Car-Seat-fig- (3)

  • This is an i-Size booster seat Enhanced Child Restraint System. It is approved according to UN Regulation No. R129/04, for use in i-Size compatible vehicle seating positions as indicated by vehicle manu-facturers in their vehicle user guides.
  • If a vehicle seat is marked with this logo, it is generally suitable for use with all i-Size car seats. Nevertheless, as some obstructions could occur, we recommend checking our car compatibility list. If your vehicle does not have an i-
  • Size seating position; please check the car compatibility list.
  • You can obtain the most up-to-date version from go.cybex-online.com/solution-g2-car-compatibility.

WARNING: The car seat is not suitable for use with a two-point or lap belt. If the seat is secured using a two-point belt, an accident may result in severe or even fatal injuries to the child.

The car seat can be generally installed on any vehicle seat with the ISOFIX locking arms folded in by using a three-point vehicle belt. Nevertheless, as some obstructions could occur, we recommend checking our car compatibility list. If your vehicle is not listed, please contact our Customer Service team.

? Above a child’s stature of 135cm, the compatibility between the car seat and your vehicle might be reduced.

Please check the car compatibility list whether the car seat can be used without restriction in all headrest positions. In exception-al cases, the car seat may also be used on the front passenger seat. Always comply with the recommendations of the vehicle manufacturer.

  • WARNING: The shoulder belt must run upwards and back at a recline. It must never run forward to the upper belt point in your vehicle.
  • WARNING: The vehicle belt buckle must never cross the belt guide of the seat. If the belt whips are too long, the car seat is not suitable for use in this position in the vehicle. In case of doubt, please contact the child restraint manufacturer.
  • WARNING: Risk of injury! Luggage or any other objects present in the vehicle must always be firmly secured. Otherwise, they may be thrown from the car, which could cause fatal injuries.
  • WARNING Risk of injury! The car seat must always be correctly and fully secured with the vehicle belt, even during empty trips. When using ISOFIX, it is sufficient during empty trips to guide the seatbelt on one side through the green-marked lap and shoulder guides. In case of an emergency brake or accident, an unsecured car seat may injure other passengers or yourself.
  • WARNING: Never leave your child unattended in the car!
  • WARNING Risk of burns! The parts in the child restraint system heat up in the sun and could potentially burn your child’s skin. Protect your child and the car seat from direct sun exposure.

REMOVING AND REATTACHING THE SEAT COVER

Cybex-SOLUTION-G2-Child-Car-Seat-fig- (14)

WARNING: The car seat must never be used without the seat cover. Ensure that only an original CYBEX seat cover is used, as the cover is a key element of the seat’s function.

The cover of the car seat consists of four parts (headrest (x2), back-rest, booster). These are held in position at several places by press studs, velcro and elastic bands.
To remove the covers, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Open the velcro fastener behind the reclining headrest (15) and pull it upwards.
  2. To remove the main cover of the headrest, reach under the headrest (9), unhook the elastic bands, and pull off the cover.
  3. To make it easier to remove the backrest (2) cover, fold the car seat together and detach the cover at the six edge points (four on the backrest and two on the booster). When you unfold the car seat again, the backrest (2) cover can be easily removed.
  4. To remove the booster cover, release the two elastic bands underneath the booster (4), and first remove the cover around the armrest. The booster cover can then be easily removed.

To reattach the covers, follow these steps in reverse order.

CLEANING

It is important to use an original seat cover only since the cover is an essential part of the function. You may obtain spare covers at your retailer.

WARNING: The cover is an integral component of the car seat’s safety design. The car seat must, therefore, never be used without the cover or with a cover of a different car seat.

NOTE The cover may only be washed at 30 °C with a delicate wash program otherwise it may result in discoloration of the cover fabric. Please wash the cover separately from other laundry and do not dry it in the dryer or direct sunlight!

You can clean the plastic parts with a mild detergent and warm water.

NOTE: Please do not use chemical detergents or bleaching agents under any circumstances!

PRODUCT CARE

Cybex-SOLUTION-G2-Child-Car-Seat-fig- (15)To guarantee that your car seat provides the maximum protection, it is essential to comply with the following points:

  • All major components of the car seat must be regularly checked for damage. The mechanical parts must work without problems.
  • Make sure that the car seat is not jammed between hard parts such as the car door, seat rails, etc., which can damage it.
  • If, e.g. the car seat is dropped, it must be tested by the manufacturer before being used again.

WHAT TO DO AFTER AN ACCIDENT

Cybex-SOLUTION-G2-Child-Car-Seat-fig- (15)WARNING: An accident may cause damage to the car seat that is not visible to the naked eye. Please exchange the seat without fail after an accident. In case of doubt, contact the retailer or manufacturer.

PRODUCT LIFESPAN

Cybex-SOLUTION-G2-Child-Car-Seat-fig- (15)This car seat has been designed to be able to fulfill its intended functions by ordinary use for a product lifespan of up to 9 years. Gradual wear of the plastic, for example, caused by exposure to sunlight (UV), can cause a slight deterioration of the product’s properties. Since very high temperature fluctuations and other unforeseeable stresses are common in vehicles, it is necessary to observe the following points:

  • If the vehicle is directly exposed to strong sunlight for long periods, the car seat must be removed from the vehicle or covered with a light cloth.
  • Check all plastic and metal parts of the seat regularly for damage or change of shape or colour. If you notice any change in the car seat, the seat must be disposed or checked and possibly replaced by the manufacturer.
  • Changes to the fabric, especially fading, are normal when used in a vehicle and do not impair the seat’s function.

DISPOSAL

Cybex-SOLUTION-G2-Child-Car-Seat-fig- (15)To protect the environment, we ask the user to separate and dispose of the waste arising at the start (packaging) and the end (product parts)of the car seat’s lifespan. Waste removal is arranged differently depending on the local authorities. To ensure that the car seat is disposed of by regulations, contact your area’s waste removal agency or local authority.
