Recommended Tools	Components for installing the FVMR-2000

Installation of the Digital Mirror

Part 1

Attaching the Digital Mirror to the windshield

Remove the mirror from the protective sleeve and ensure that the mirror and mounting arm are oriented as illustrated.
Remove the old mirror from the mount on the windshield as per manufacturer’s directions.
Be sure to use the proper removal tool if required.
Install new mirror on to D-tab and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver. Please call our offices and select option one if your mirror mount does not look like the illustration.

Take care not to overtighten. Overtightening could result in damage to your windshield.

Part 2	Powering the Digital Mirror
Connect the power harness to the plug on the mirror. Route the harness across the head liner, down the A-pillar, and to the desired location in the kick panel. Ensure that the harness will not be pinched when trim panels are replaced.

Part 3	Wiring the Digital Mirror
Connect the RED wire from the mirror harness to 12-volt accessory power. Connect the BLACK wire to a solid ground. Chassis ground in the kick panel is recommended. The GREEN wire is not used for this application

If your installation includes a secondary camera on the vehicle, we recommend labeling the display side of the harness to be sure that it gets plugged into the desired channel.

Part 4	Function test of the Digital Mirror
Connect rear camera directly to AV2 on the mirror harness Test mirror and camera by turning on ignition power. You can also plug a camera directly into the mirror if you want to test both channels with video before proceeding.

Camera Mounting & Power

Part 5	Camera Connection
The camera(s) will be powered via monitor harness. Connect the camera(s) to the extension harness to draw the necessary power and video signal.

Part 6	Camera Compatibility
