Basic Operation

Charging

Caution
Use the approved charger to charge the battery.

  • Switch On /off
    Turn the [Power/Volume knob] clockwise to switch the transceiver power ON till a click is heard.
  • Volume Adjustment
    Rotate the [Power/Volume knob] to adjust the volume. Turn clockwise to increase the volume and counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.
  • Frequency/Channel Mode Switch
    Long press [OK] key to switch frequency mode and channel mode.
  • Channel Mode
    In Channel mode, rotate channel knob to switch channels.

You can also directly input the channel number by the keypad. For example, if you want to switch to channel 1, input 0+1 (total 2 digits), and it will switch to channel 1.

Frequency Mode
In Frequency model, input the VFO frequency directly by the keypad.

Push To Talk

  • Press PTT-1 key to transmit in A Band.
  • Press PTT-2 key to transmit in B Band.

Reverse Frequency/Talk Around
In Channel mode/Frequency mode, short press [*] key, a symbol “R” will appear on the screen, which means reverse function is on. TX frequency and RX frequency as well as CTCSS/DCS will be exchanged.
Short press [*] key again, a symbol “T ” will appear on the screen, which means talk around function is on. TX frequency is the same as the RX frequency, and the TX CTCSS/DCS is also converted to the same as the RX CTCSS/DCS.

Keypad Lock / Unlock
In standby, long press [*] key to lock / unlock keypad.

Scan
In Frequency mode, long press # key to turn on/off scan function.

Battery Voltage
In standby, long press [0] key to check the current battery voltage.
