LS G100 Variable Speed Drive

LS-G100-Variable-Speed-Drive-PRODUCT

Product Information

The LS G100 is a frequency converter that is used in conjunction with an Air Handling Unit (AHU). This manual focuses on the control and communication circuits of the LS G100. The installation of the frequency converter and mains and motor cables should be done according to the LS G100 Manual. The manual provides a list of parameters and their corresponding values for configuring the LS G100. These parameters include ramp-up time, ramp-down time, maximum frequency, U/f ratio, load type, overload protection, number of motor poles, rated slip, rated current, idle run current, and P5 input function. There are different configurations provided in the manual, including local control using the integrated control panel and remote control with three speeds. For each configuration, additional parameters are specified to set the start/stop source, frequency source, and constant speeds. The manual also includes information on exhaust units with VTS control systems and AHUs with VTS control type uPC3. Parameters for these configurations are provided to set the start/stop source, frequency source, address, communication protocol, communication speed, and communication parameters.

Configurations without VTS controls

Local control using the integrated control panel:

Set additional parameters:

ParameterCodeValue
Start/stop sourcedrY0
Frequency sourceFrq0

Use the RUN and STOP/RST buttons on the integrated control panel to control the drive. Use the buttons or potentiometer to set the frequency.

2.2 Remote control with three speeds:

Set additional parameters:

ParameterCodeValue
Start/stop sourcedrv0
Frequency sourceFrq0
Constant speed 1St1*
Constant speed 2St2*
Constant speed 3St3*

Use the P1/P3/P4/P5 inputs to set the desired drive function (1=on, 0=off). The corresponding input values are: 0000 = STOP, 1100 = START, 1ST SPEED, 1110 = START, 2ND SPEED, 1111 = START, 3RD SPEED.

Exhaust unit with VTS control system:

Set additional parameters:

ParameterCodeValue
Start/stop sourcedrv1
Frequency sourceFrq5
Constant speed 1St1*
Constant speed 2St2*
Constant speed 3St3*

Use the P1/P3/P4/P5 inputs to set the desired drive function (1=on, 0=off). The corresponding input values are: 0000 = STOP, 1100 = START, 1ST SPEED, 1110 = START, 2ND SPEED, 1111 = START, 3RD SPEED.

AHU with VTS controls type uPC3:

To allow control of the G100 frequency drivers, set the VFD type to G100 in uPC3 settings (HMI Advanced mask I03).

Set additional parameters:

ParameterCodeValue
Start/stop sourcedrv3
Frequency sourceFrq6
AddressCM-012
Comm. protocolCM-023
Comm. speedCM-035
Comm. parametersCM-047

Use Modbus RS-485 as the communication protocol with a speed of 9600 bps and 8N1 parameters. To restore G100 to default settings, set dr-93 = 1 and switch off the power supply. v1.01 (08.2023)

THE FOLLOWING MANUAL ASSUMES GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION INCLUDED WITH THE AIR HANDLING UNIT (AHU). THIS MANUAL CONSIDERS ONLY THE CONTROL AND COMMUNICATION CIRCUITS. THE INSTALLATION OF THE FREQUENCY CONVERTER AND THE INSTALLATION OF MAINS AND MOTOR CABLES SHOULD BE DONE ACCORDING TO THE LS G100 MANUAL.
