Connection Overview
The diagram illustrates the following components and connections:
Diagram Components:
- Powered Device (PD): This can be an IP Camera, Access Point (AP), or IP Phone.
- PoE+ Injector: Features ports labeled 'DATA IN', 'PWR+DATA OUT', and 'PWR'.
- Ethernet Device: Such as a switch or router.
The connection flow is: The Ethernet Device connects to the 'DATA IN' port of the PoE Injector. The 'PWR+DATA OUT' port of the PoE Injector connects to the Powered Device (PD). The PoE Injector is powered via a standard AC power input.
Notes:
- The PoE Injector supplies steady power and data connectivity to a powered device such as a PoE IP Camera, PoE AP, and PoE IP Phone through an Ethernet cable.
- For the TL-POE170S, plug the product into wall outlets with an earthing connection through the power supply cord.

A: Yes. All RJ45 ports of the PoE injector support 10/100/1000 Mbps speeds.
Q2. What can I do if my PoE injector doesn't supply power to the powered device or the supplied power is unstable?
A1: Ensure the Powered Device (PD) is PoE-compliant and its connecting port supports the PoE function.
A2: Verify that the power consumption of the PD does not exceed the maximum power supply of the PoE injector. If it does, the injector's overload protection may activate. The quality and length of the Ethernet cable can also affect power reception.
