Safeguards & Information

Always keep this manual handy for future reference.

WARNING: When using the PIC, always follow basic safety precautions:

  • The cooking surface may retain residual heat. Do not touch.
  • Do not immerse the cord, plugs, or the PIC in water or other liquids to protect against electrical shock.
  • Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged. Return to an authorized service facility for examination and repair.
  • Close supervision is necessary when used near children. This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person.
  • Accessories not intended for use with the PIC are not recommended as they may cause damage or accidents.
  • For household use only. Not intended for outdoor use.
  • Do not use the PIC for any purpose other than its intended use.
  • Do not let the cord hang from tables or countertops, touch hot surfaces, or come into contact with sharp edges.
  • Do not place the PIC on or near hot gas or electric burners, in a heated oven, or on a stovetop.
  • Never use the cooktop near open fires or other heat sources, on flammable surfaces (e.g., tablecloth, carpet), close to flammable materials, heating units, or in wet areas.
  • Do not move the PIC while in operation, especially with hot liquids or oil. Remove cookware and allow to cool before moving.
  • To disconnect, turn off the PIC and remove the plug from the outlet.
  • Remove the plug by the head, not the cord.
  • Keep at least 3 inches of free space around the back, sides, and top of the PIC.
  • Unplug the PIC when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool before cleaning or removing parts.
  • Some smoke may escape the PIC when heating for the first time; this is normal.
  • If excessive smoke escapes from the air vent, unplug immediately and contact Customer Service at help@nuwavenow.com.
  • Place the cooktop on a stable, level, non-metallic surface.
  • The cooktop's surface is made of temperature-resistant glass. If damage, even a small crack, is observed, immediately disconnect the PIC from the power supply.
  • Never use materials to block the air vents or ventilation slots, as this may cause overheating.
  • Ensure the cord is not compressed beneath the PIC.
  • Do not place devices sensitive to magnetic fields (e.g., credit cards, cellphones, radios, TVs) on or next to the PIC.
  • Confirm that the voltage indicated in this manual corresponds to your home's voltage supply before connecting. Incorrect connections may damage the PIC and cause injury.
  • If any trouble arises during operation, service MUST be done by NuWave LLC or an authorized repair facility.
  • The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
  • Do not disassemble the PIC or replace parts without prior written consent from the manufacturer.
  • Ensure the PIC is clean prior to cooking.
  • Use extreme caution when operating the PIC or any other appliance.

WARNING

In case of malfunction, immediately unplug the PIC and contact NuWave's Customer Service Department at help@nuwavenow.com.

See Care & Maintenance before use.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

Read and understand the entire manual before using the PIC. Failure to follow these safeguards and instructions is a misuse of your PIC that can void your warranty and create the risk of serious injury.

Electrical Information

A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of entanglement or tripping. Longer cords or extension cords may be used if care is exercised. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the appliance's rating. The longer cord should be arranged so it does not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it could be pulled on or tripped over unintentionally. The PIC should be operated on a separate electrical outlet due to wattage limitations. The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully, reverse it. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug.

NOTICE

This appliance is intended for normal household use. It is not intended for use in staff kitchens, offices, farms, or other work environments, nor by clients in hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts, and nonresidential environments.
