5. Setup

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Simba On/Kudzima

The timer automatically powers on when batteries are inserted. It enters sleep mode after a few seconds of inactivity to save power. To wake it up, press any button.

6.2 Setting the Timer (Count-down Mode)

  1. Press the MIN button to set the desired minutes. Hold to fast-forward.
  2. Press the SEC button to set the desired seconds. Hold to fast-forward.
  3. Press the ST/SP bhatani kuti utange kuverenga pasi.
  4. To pause the countdown, press ST/SP zvakare. Dzvanya zvakare kuti utangezve.
  5. When the countdown reaches 00:00, the alarm will sound for up to 2 minutes.
  6. To stop the alarm and reset to the last set time, press any button.

6.3 Stopwatch Function (Count-up Mode)

  1. Ensure the timer is reset to 00:00 by pressing ZVAKANAKA if a time is already set.
  2. Press the ST/SP button to start the count-up.

6.4 Kugadziridza Vhoriyamu

The timer offers three volume levels to adapt to your environment:

  • High Volume (90dB): Ideal for noisy environments like kitchens, ensuring you don't miss important alerts.
  • Medium Volume (30dB): Suitable for general use, such as studying or light activities.
  • Silent Mode (0dB) / Vibration: Perfect for quiet places like libraries or classrooms. The display will flash to indicate time is up without disturbing others.

To adjust the volume, locate the volume switch on the side of the timer and slide it to your preferred setting.

6.5 Display Brightness and Power Saving

The timer features a 3.5-inch LED digital mirror display that is easy to read. It has different modes to manage brightness and conserve battery life:

  • Constant Light Mode: The display remains illuminated, showing the current timer status.
  • ECO Maitiro: The screen dims after 5 seconds of inactivity during countdown/count-up, but remains visible at close range.
  • Nzira yekurara: If the timer is not running and there is no operation, the display brightness will dim and turn off after a few seconds. This mode significantly extends battery life.

7. Kuchengeta

  • Clean the timer with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
