2. Safety Information

  • Ensure the main power supply is disconnected before commencing any work.
  • Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician or a person with electrical knowledge.

4. Setup uye Kuiswa

The Philips Kosipo spotlight features an easy ClickFix installation system.

4.1 Pre-Instalation

  1. Dzima simba: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box and turn off the power to the area where you will be installing the fixture.

4.2 Mounting the Fixture (ClickFix System)

  1. Batanidza bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached to a joist or suitable ceiling support.
  2. Batanidza wiring: Connect the household electrical wires to the fixture's wires according to local electrical codes. Typically, this involves connecting live to live (black/brown), neutral to neutral (white/blue), and ground to ground (green/yellow).
  3. Attach the fixture: Once wiring is complete, align the fixture with the mounting bracket and push it into place until it clicks securely. The ClickFix system simplifies this step, allowing for easy, single-person installation.

4.3 Installing GU10 Bulbs

  1. Ensure power is still off.
  2. Insert a GU10 bulb into each spotlight socket. Align the two pins of the GU10 bulb with the holes in the socket.
  3. Push the bulb gently into the socket and twist clockwise until it is secure.
  4. Repeat for all four spotlights.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Kubatidza/Kudzima

Once installed and bulbs are in place, restore power at the circuit breaker. The spotlight can then be operated using your standard wall switch.

5.2 Adjusting the Spotlights

Each of the four spotlight heads is rotatable. You can individually adjust the direction of each light to highlight specific areas or create desired lighting effects in your room.

To clean the fixture, ensure the power is off. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish.

Always turn off the power before replacing bulbs. Allow bulbs to cool completely before handling. To replace a GU10 bulb, gently push it in and twist counter-clockwise to remove. Insert a new GU10 bulb by aligning the pins, pushing gently, and twisting clockwise until secure.
