2. Setup Guide
2.1 Kuiswa kwebhatiri
Ensure proper battery insertion for both the main unit and remote sensors.
- Main Unit: Requires 3 x 1.5V AAA alkaline or lithium batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit and insert the batteries, observing polarity.
- Remote Sensors: Each sensor requires 2 x 1.5V AAA alkaline or lithium batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment on the back of each remote sensor and insert the batteries, observing polarity.
Mufananidzo: Kumashure view of the main unit and remote sensor, indicating battery compartments and mounting features.
2.2 Sensor pairing
The main unit and remote sensors should automatically pair once batteries are installed. If a sensor does not connect, ensure it is within range and re-insert its batteries to initiate re-pairing.

3.2 Humidity Comfort Indicators
- DRY: Humidity <45%
- ZVINORERA: 45% ≤ Humidity ≤ 65%
- WET: Humidity > 65%
3.3 Mabhatani uye Mabasa
- Bhatani reMIN/MAX: Dzvanya ku view the maximum and minimum recorded temperature and humidity values. Press again to cycle through current, maximum, and minimum readings.
- BHUKU BHUKU: Activates the backlight for 5 seconds.
- C / F Bhatani: Toggles between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature units.
- CHANNEL Button: Cycles through the display of remote sensor channels (1, 2, 3) or displays all channels in rotation.

For accurate outdoor temperature readings, ensure remote sensors are mounted in a shaded area, preferably on a north-facing wall, to avoid direct sunlight affecting readings.
5. Kuchengeta
- Kuchenesa: Wipe the unit and sensors with a soft, damp jira. Usashandise abrasive cleaners kana solvents.
- Kutsiva Bhatiri: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always replace all batteries in a unit at the same time.
- Kuchengeta: If storing the unit for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage.
6. Kugadzirisa matambudziko
-
Q: Temperature sensor reads too high during the day.
A: Ensure the thermo-hygrometer remote sensor is mounted in a shaded area, ideally on a north-facing wall, to avoid direct sunlight. -
Q: Indoor and outdoor temperatures do not agree.
A: Allow up to one hour for sensors to stabilize due to signal filtering. Indoor and outdoor temperature sensors should agree within 2°C (sensor accuracy is ±1°C). If discrepancies persist, use a known accurate source to calibrate if your model supports it, or re-pair sensors. -
Q: Display console contrast is weak.
A: Replace the console batteries with a new set of fresh batteries. -
Q: Remote sensor not displaying data.
A: Check if the sensor is within the maximum transmission range (up to 100m/328ft in open air). Ensure there are no significant obstructions (e.g., thick concrete walls). Re-insert batteries in the remote sensor and the main unit to force re-pairing.
