Pairing steps
  1. Adjust the remote control power switch to [ON].
  2. Press and hold the shutter/record button until the indicator flashes and then goes out; confirm the mode switch adjustment to [LOCK].
  3. Adjust camera settings: a. Select MENU—[Network]—[Bluetooth Settings]—[Bluetooth Function]—[On]. b. Select MENU—[Network]—[Bluetooth Rmt Ctrl]—[On]. c. Select MENU—[Network]—[Bluetooth Settings]—[Pairing].
  4. Press and hold the remote control shutter/record button until the indicator flashes and the camera screen prompts [Allow connection from the following device: SR-RC1], then select [OK].
  5. When the camera screen displays [Paired], select [OK].

Note: Verify if the camera’s firmware [SR-RC1] is the most up-to-date one.

  1. Adjust the remote control power switch to [ON].
  2. Press and hold the shutter/record button until the indicator flashes and then goes out; confirm the mode switch adjustment to [LOCK].
  3. Adjust camera settings: a. Select MENU—[Setup Menu]—[Wireless remote connection]—[Remote control]. b. Select MENU—[Setup Menu]—[Wireless remote connection]—[Pairing].
  4. Press and hold the remote control shutter/record button until the indicator flashes and the camera screen prompts [Paired with the remote control]. Select [OK].
  5. After successful pairing, the screen prompts [Connected to the remote control].

Note: The remote control mode needs to be the same as the camera mode (STILL/MOVIE). Adjust the remote control mode switch to [STILL] (photo) or [MOVIE] (record).

  4. Press and hold the remote control shutter/record button until the indicator flashes and the camera screen prompts [Pairing in progress]. Start pairing on the remote control and select [OK].
  5. When the camera screen displays [Paired with SR-RC1], select [OK].

Note: The remote control mode needs to be set to the camera mode (STILL/MOVIE). Adjust the remote control mode switch to [STILL] (photo) or [MOVIE] (record).

Troubleshooting: Unable to pair or failed to pair
  1. Confirm that the remote control mode switch has been adjusted to [LOCK].
  2. Restart the control settings on the camera function, and then repeat the procedure as mentioned above.
  3. Check if the camera’s firmware is the most up-to-date one.

  2. If the camera is already connected to another wireless remote control, you must first delete the connection information for the previous remote control. Select MENU—[SETUP MENU]—[Wireless remote connection]—[Delete connection information]—[OK]. Follow the pairing steps to re-pair the camera.
  3. Check if the camera’s firmware is the most up-to-date one.
  1. Confirm that the remote control mode switch has been adjusted to [LOCK].
  2. If the camera is already connected to another wireless remote control, you must first delete the connection information for the previous remote control. Select MENU—[Network settings]—[Connect to Wireless Remote]—[Check/clear connection info]—[Clear connection information]—[OK]. Follow the pairing steps to re-pair the camera.
  3. Check if the camera’s firmware is the most up-to-date one.

Usage Instruction

Indicator Light Description

  • Battery power 20% ~ 100%: blue light
  • Battery power 10% ~ 20%: red light
  • Battery power <10%: red light flashing

Remote Control Mounting

  2. 1/4″-20 screw installation: After removing the clip with the cold shoe mount, fix the remote control to the built-in 1/4″-20 threaded hole device via a 1/4″-20 screw.SmallRig-3902B-Wireless-Remote-Controller-fig (6)

Safety Instruction

Attention

  1. Do not ingest the battery; it poses a chemical burn hazard. This product contains a button cell battery. If the button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and may lead to death.
  2. Keep new and used batteries away from children.
  3. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
  4. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
  5. The remote control connection procedure may vary from camera to camera; please refer to the remote control section in the camera manual for details.
  6. The Bluetooth connection range of 100 cm / 32.8 in is an estimation, which depends on your surroundings.
  7. A remote control can only be paired with one camera. If you need to control another camera, refer to the pairing procedure to pair the remote control with the camera you need to control, and the previous camera will be unpaired automatically.
  8. After successful pairing, the camera and the remote control will connect automatically when the camera and remote control are switched on.
  9. Please turn off the power switch when not in use.

SmallRig Up APP

  1. Download the APP: You can download the “SmallRig Up” app from the App Store or Apple Store.
  2. APP Purpose: The latest firmware for the remote controller can be downloaded and updated through the SmallRig Up app.
  3. Note:
    1. Please ensure that the remote controller’s battery indicator light is blue and that your phone has sufficient battery before proceeding with the update.
    2. During the update process, do not press any buttons or switches on the remote controller.
