Installation
1. Power Off
An illustration shows a hand flipping a circuit breaker switch from the 'ON' position to the 'OFF' position, indicating the need to disconnect power before installation. Please install and maintain the device by a professional electrician. To avoid electric shock hazard, do not operate any connection or contact the terminal connector while the device is powered on!
2. Wiring Instruction
To ensure the safety of your electrical installation, it is essential to have a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) or a Residual Current Operated Circuit Breaker (RCBO) with an electrical rating of 10A installed before the MINIR4M. Ensure all wires are connected correctly.
No matter if S1 and S2 are connected or left idle to the external switch, this device can be controlled by automation or the App.
Four wiring diagrams illustrate different connection methods for the SONOFF MINI Extreme. These diagrams show the device connected to a power source (100-240V AC, Live and Neutral) and various configurations for the external switch inputs (S1, S2) and the output terminal. The diagrams detail how to wire the device for different switch types and configurations.
3. Power On
After powering on, the device will enter the Pairing Mode by default during the first use. The Network indicator will flash in a cycle of two short and one long. The device will exit the Pairing Mode if not paired within 10 minutes. To re-enter this mode, long press the button for 5 seconds until the Network indicator flashes in a cycle of two short and one long, then release.
Add Device
Method 1: Matter Pairing
Open a Matter-compatible App (e.g., Alexa App, Apple Home App, Google Home App, etc.) to scan the Matter QR code on the Quick Guide or the device itself to add the device.
Method 2: eWeLink App Pairing
Open the eWeLink App, tap the '+' icon, and select 'Add Device'. Then, follow the on-screen prompts in the App.
Switch Trigger Mode
The MINIR4M's default mode is the edge-trigger mode. You can switch to another mode by triple-clicking the device button. The LED indicator will flash three times upon successful switching. The three modes cycle in the following order: Edge Mode → Pulse Mode → Following Mode → Edge Mode...

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
1. Fail to pair Wi-Fi devices with the eWeLink App
- Ensure the device is in pairing mode. The device will automatically exit pairing mode if not paired within 10 minutes.
- Enable location services and grant location permission. Location information is used to obtain the Wi-Fi list. If location services are disabled, the device cannot be paired.
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network operates on the 2.4GHz band.
- Enter the Wi-Fi SSID and password correctly, without special characters. Incorrect passwords are a common cause of pairing failure.
- To ensure good signal transmission during pairing, place the device close to the router.
2. LED indicator flashes twice (server connection failure)
- Verify that the network connection is normal. Check if the internet works by connecting your phone or PC. If connection fails, check the internet connection availability.
- If the router has low load capacity and the number of connected devices exceeds its maximum capacity, remove some devices or use a router with higher load capacity.
If the above methods do not resolve the issue, please submit your problem via 'Help & Feedback' on the eWeLink App.
3. Wi-Fi devices are "offline"
- Devices fail to connect to the router.
- Incorrect Wi-Fi SSID and password entered.
- Wi-Fi SSID and password contain special characters. For example, the system may not recognize certain characters (like Hebrew or Arabic), causing Wi-Fi connection failures.
- Low router capacity.
- Weak Wi-Fi signal. The router and device are too far apart, or there is an obstacle between them, preventing signal transmission.
