Installation

Before starting installation, ensure you have read and understood the "Important Safety Instructions". The ChargePort Pro must be sited so that the power outlet can be reached with the provided cord without modification.

Decide which security option(s) to use, if required.

Cable Clamp Installation

Place the cable clamp over the mains fly lead and secure it with screws to a suitable surface. Ensure there is sufficient slack in the cable for it to reach the mains outlet easily. Verify screws are clear of the cable before tightening. Do not overtighten.

Adhesive Pad / Mounting Plate Installation

Ensure the surface for the adhesive pad or mounting plate is clean and free from grease. Attach the mounting plate using the provided screws. Remove the protective covering from the side of the adhesive pad that attaches to the base of the ChargePort Pro and affix it to the base. Remove the other protective covering and position the unit on the desired surface. Apply gentle downward pressure to ensure good adhesion.

Lanyard Installation

Attach one end of the lanyard to the base of the ChargePort Pro using the provided screw. Attach the other end to the furniture as required.

Finally, insert the supplied power cable into the flying lead and plug it into an appropriate mains outlet. Installation is now complete.

Mains Safety Cutout

The ChargePort Pro is equipped with a 10A safety cutout. If the cutout is tripped, unplug any attached devices, wait 5 minutes, and then press the reset button on the rear. If the cutout continues to trip, unplug the ChargePort Pro and arrange for servicing by an authorized agent.

Qi Foreign Object Detection (FOD)

If a metallic foreign object is placed on the Qi charging pad, the ChargePort Pro will disable wireless charging until the object is removed.

USB Charging Protection

If a faulty device or cable causes a short circuit or draws excessive current, the built-in charger will shut down until the fault condition is rectified.

High Ambient Temperatures

Wireless charging performance may be reduced in high ambient temperatures (above 28°C) and under high load. If wireless charging fails, try relocating the device to a cooler area. Avoid installing in locations exposed to prolonged direct sunlight.

Unapproved Phone Cases

Using phone cases not approved by the phone manufacturer may also affect wireless charging performance. If issues arise, remove the phone from its case before wireless charging.
