Check parts and warranty information
Request the available supplier record for this serial. Returned replacement parts describe components; they do not identify the complete equipment model.

Serial formats
and source limits
Most refrigerated units carry a data plate at the rear, or inside the cabinet on a side or rear wall.
The form distinguishes an older six-digit serial from ten digits followed by a letter.
Formats described by the source
- After April 2016, the guide describes YYMMDD plus a four-digit sequence and a plant letter: A=Milwaukee or B=Monterrey.
- Older serials are six-digit sequence identifiers without a date in this guide.
Read these alongside the source limits below. A source-described format does not establish an automatic decoding rule for every product.
- Serial dates and format matches do not establish current warranty coverage, purchase date, authenticity or ownership.
- A missing equipment records result does not establish an invalid serial number; manufacturer and model coverage vary.

Understanding the record
Perlick lookup questions
Does a returned part identify my equipment model?
A compatible replacement part is a component and can fit several equipment models. An equipment model is shown only if the record explicitly identifies it. You can enter the model printed on your unit to search its manuals independently.
Do warranty dates guarantee free service?
The lookup displays warranty fields available for the serial. Dates alone do not establish entitlement: parts, labor, installation, geography and purchase requirements can differ. Confirm coverage with the manufacturer before arranging service.
Can I share a lookup?
Use “Copy share link” after a lookup. The serial and optional model appear after #serial= in the URL. Anyone with that link can repeat the lookup and see those details.
What if no record is available?
Check letters, leading zeros and meaningful hyphens. Use the manufacturer’s support and model-specific manual. A database coverage gap and a temporary service failure are different results.
