Enter an 8-digit TAC, a 14-digit IMEI base or a complete 15-digit IMEI. Spaces and dashes are accepted. A 14-digit base receives its calculated check digit.

IMEI lookup questions

What is the difference between an IMEI and a TAC?

An IMEI identifies mobile equipment. Its first eight digits form the Type Allocation Code, which identifies a device type or allocation. A TAC does not identify a subscriber or owner, and its model information can be incomplete.

Where do I find my IMEI?

Look in About or Status settings, on the original label or packaging, or use *#06# on a supported phone. A dual-SIM device can have separate IMEIs for each cellular interface.

Does this check blacklist, ownership or warranty status?

A valid check digit only confirms the number’s structure. A device-type match does not establish ownership, lost-or-stolen status, carrier lock, financing, warranty eligibility or network compatibility.
