Spaces and dashes are accepted. Check O/0 and I/1, and keep any leading zeros.

Checks ENERGY STAR model records and searches manuals separately from the serial. Certification records do not establish this unit’s manufacture date.

Known product context (optional)

Choose a system only when it matches the product family and its documentation. A purchase year or a manual’s publication date does not establish a manufacturing date.

  • A serial date code does not normally encode the full model number. Read the separate model/E-Nr/product code on the rating plate.
  • Published letter-year charts have limited coverage; unmapped later codes are not extrapolated.
  • For eleven-character numbers, wine-cooler context is required to select the correct offset.
  • Do not apply appliance rules to Haier ductless HVAC.

Haier eight-character letter date

Haier US support: eight-character serials with first-letter month and second-letter year.

Only the published year codes are supported. Do not extrapolate GE-style repeating year tables or assume all Haier eight-character units use this scheme.

Haier ten/eleven-character YYMM fields

Haier US 10- or 11-character serials other than the separately documented wine-cooler layout.

Two-digit year omits century. Eleven-character wine coolers have different offsets; request product-family context before selecting between matching layouts.

This offset applies to wine coolers, not every 11-character Haier serial. Century is not encoded.

Haier US 18–20-character serials with date characters at positions 14–16.

Published year table ends at 2018; later letters are not inferred. Validate actual calendar days, including leap years. This does not identify a model or capacity.

Why does the year code match more than one year?

Some systems reuse letters or only encode the last one or two year digits. Every supported interpretation is retained. A decade supplied from reliable records can narrow the reading; the tool does not automatically pick the newest year.

Does the serial identify my exact model?

Usually the model is a separate plate field. Where published serial ranges actually identify a model, the result shows model candidates and links to their manuals. Overlapping ranges remain ambiguous.

Can I share the result?

After a lookup, the address includes the serial in a fragment beginning with #serial=. Use “Copy share link” to share the serial and selected context. Opening the link runs the same lookup. The fragment is not a query-string result page.
