and historical limits.
- A serial date code does not normally encode the full model number. Read the separate model/E-Nr/product code on the rating plate.
- Professional laundry uses a separate YYWW scheme, verified in manuals but not enabled without explicit family selection.
- Historic GM-era Frigidaire and HVAC serials are outside these household rules.
Research reviewed October 16, 2026. This independent tool applies published rules and retains unresolved years and model candidates.

North American Electrolux/Frigidaire YWW
North American Frigidaire/Electrolux and matching documented WCI-family major appliances using the 10-character format.
The decade is not encoded. Product letter codes may vary by era and family; they are appliance-type clues, not model identity. Excludes Frigidaire HVAC, General Motors-era Frigidaire and non-North-American systems. Factory code is shown without an invented location.
European Electrolux-family YWW prefix
European Electrolux/AEG household fridges, freezers and hoods matching the documented 8-digit serial.
Keep separate from North American ten-character and professional laundry YYWW systems. The source example 13500016 gives week 35 in 2001, but the serial itself omits the decade.
Electrolux Janus-system laundry: four-digit year and week
Only washing machines covered by Electrolux Home Products EMEA Janus configurable-module service manual599735354 (October2010).
This documented laundry barcode has YYYYWW#####. Finished-product code, warranty term and factory are separate fields outside the serial; do not infer them from this serial. North American YWW and European eight-digit YWW systems remain separate.
Confirm that the washing machine uses the11-digit YYYYWW##### barcode specified in service manual599735354.

Electrolux lookup questions
Why does the year code match more than one year?
Some systems reuse letters or only encode the last one or two year digits. Every supported interpretation is retained. A decade supplied from reliable records can narrow the reading; the tool does not automatically pick the newest year.
Does the serial identify my exact model?
Usually the model is a separate plate field. Where published serial ranges actually identify a model, the result shows model candidates and links to their manuals. Overlapping ranges remain ambiguous.
Can I share the result?
After a lookup, the address includes the serial in a fragment beginning with #serial=. Use “Copy share link” to share the serial and selected context. Opening the link runs the same lookup. The fragment is not a query-string result page.
