Equipment records

Check parts and warranty information

Request the available supplier record for this serial. Returned replacement parts describe components; they do not identify the complete equipment model.

The equipment records form describes six numbers, two letters, three numbers and a final letter. Manufacturer-specific older formats also exist.

Checks ENERGY STAR model records and searches manuals separately from the serial. Certification records do not establish this unit’s manufacture date.

Known context for date decoding (optional)

A purchase year or warranty date does not establish the manufacture date. Confirm any family-specific historical system before selecting it.

Find the equipment label

Serial formats
and source limits

Locations vary: CTB/CTBR above the control panel under the upper ledge; Xcel at the back; combi and XR8 units on the right. Other models use the control compartment; consult the manual before accessing it.

The equipment records form describes six numbers, two letters, three numbers and a final letter. Manufacturer-specific older formats also exist.

Formats described by the source

  • The guide’s illustrated modern format starts with MMDDYY, followed by a model-letter code and a three-digit factory sequence.
  • Published model-letter examples include AS=BCM/BCP/BCT-61G, AO=BCM/BCP/BCT-61E, CL=Zephaire-100-G, CR=SHO-100-G, DG=XR8-G and DL=XR8-E.

Read these alongside the source limits below. A source-described format does not establish an automatic decoding rule for every product.

  • Serial dates and format matches do not establish current warranty coverage, purchase date, authenticity or ownership.
  • A missing equipment records result does not establish an invalid serial number; manufacturer and model coverage vary.
  • Model-letter codes differ by family and era; the guide includes one-letter legacy codes as well as two-letter codes. Do not force every vintage serial into the modern form.
  • A matching format is not an authenticity, warranty, service-life or condition verdict. Use the actual product label and model-specific manufacturer documentation.
  • Sequence/counter fields are identifiers, not production quantity. Separate label fields for model, voltage, gas, refrigerant and capacity are not automatically decoded from a serial.
  • A two-digit year does not by itself establish the century. The manufacturer worked examples have known context, but that context is not a universal era boundary.
  • No manufacturer evidence has been verified for a universal 1993/2020/2021 transition rule. Other Blodgett parts manuals contain copied or inconsistent examples and were not used to generalize this decoder.

Read the label on your product

Where to find the numbers.

Find the complete serial and any separately labelled date, product or model code. Compare your device with the matching product family below.

DFG-100/200ES oven external serial

Look for
Serial number and model number
Label location
Serial number on the top of the right-hand side of the oven.
Format / what to enter
Read the full serial and the separately printed model.

The manual also places the rating plate behind the control panel; an external serial can avoid opening a service panel.

900 / DFG100/200 oven label

Look for
Serial number and model number
Label location
Plate in the left side of the combustion compartment and above the control panel under its ledge.
Format / what to enter
Read the full serial and the separately printed model.

Check model-specific instructions; service compartments should be accessed by qualified personnel.

Blodgett six-digit date, model and oven-section codes

Only the reviewed 900, DFG100/200 and ES model-code families.

The first six digits are MMDDYY, not YYMMDD. The chart gives exact day/month but a general serial does not encode its century. A model candidate is the manufacturer chart family, not every option or fuel configuration. X in the ES illustration is a placeholder for top/bottom, not a verified oven section code.

Blodgett HV100E six-digit date and model

Only the manufacturer-listed HV100E model codes; no section suffix is shown.

No century, exact build options or manufacturing location is inferred.

Blodgett older MMYY, family and seven-digit sequence

Older layouts explicitly charted in the 900 and DFG100/200 manuals.

A denotes the complete 900 series; it does not identify model981. The year century needs device context. No undocumented transition year is imposed.

Blodgett historic 981 month/year and natural-gas suffix

Only the explicitly illustrated old 98/N model/fuel combination.

Example 65398-N is June1953 in source context. Month has one or two digits; the year itself has two. Other historic model/gas mappings have not been proved.

Blodgett S1820G conveyor ovens: trailing month/year

Blodgett S1820G gas conveyor family, with production beginning May 2007.

The manufacturer places the month in positions6–7 and year in8–9. The first four digits are an order-of-production identifier and the fifth is model-specific; no fifth-digit model mapping is published in this source.

Understanding the record

Blodgett lookup questions

Does a returned part identify my equipment model?

A compatible replacement part is a component and can fit several equipment models. An equipment model is shown only if the record explicitly identifies it. You can enter the model printed on your unit to search its manuals independently.

Do warranty dates guarantee free service?

The lookup displays warranty fields available for the serial. Dates alone do not establish entitlement: parts, labor, installation, geography and purchase requirements can differ. Confirm coverage with the manufacturer before arranging service.

Can I share a lookup?

Use “Copy share link” after a lookup. The serial and optional model appear after #serial= in the URL. Anyone with that link can repeat the lookup and see those details.

What if no record is available?

Check letters, leading zeros and meaningful hyphens. Use the manufacturer’s support and model-specific manual. A database coverage gap and a temporary service failure are different results.
