Product Usage Instructions:

Configure the WiFi Charging Cable:

1. Plug the WiFi Charging Cable into a wall charger or power
   source.
2. Check the WiFi LED:
   • If Solid Red: Proceed to configure the cable by following step
     3.
   • If Solid Blue: Ready for firmware update. Proceed to firmware
     update section.
   • If Blinking Blue for over 10 seconds: Reset the cable by
     inserting a pin into the reset pinhole and pressing for 1
     second.
3. Open WiFi settings on your smartphone, find the WiFi Charging
   Cable (identified as SENA WA-xxxxxx), and select it.
4. Open the Sena Motorcycles App and continue to Setting or
   Firmware Update, then Update via WiFi.
5. Select WiFi network and enter the password (2.4 GHz network
   only).
6. Check for solid blue WiFi LED to confirm successful
   configuration.

Firmware Update via WiFi:

1. Check the WiFi LED for solid blue.
2. Power off the Sena device to start the update process.
3. Connect the device to the WiFi Charging Cable. The update will
   start automatically.
4. If the update is successful, the Update LED will turn solid
   blue after approximately 10 minutes.

FAQ:

Q: What do the different LED indicators mean?

A: Solid Red – Cable needs configuration, Solid Blue – Cable is
ready for firmware update, Blinking Blue – Reset required.

Q: Can I change my WiFi network without reconfiguring the
cable?

A: No, if you change the WiFi network, you will need to reset
and reconfigure the WiFi Charging Cable.

Configure the WiFi Charging Cable
1. Plug the WiFi Charging Cable into a wall charger or power source. 2. Check the WiFi LED.
a. Solid Red: A Solid red LED indicates that the WiFi Charging Cable must be configured before proceeding with the update. Continue to step 3 to configure the WiFi Charging Cable.

If the WiFi LED is solid blue, the WiFi Charging Cable is already configured and ready to update firmware automatically. You can now complete the configuration and update the device. Continue to “Firmware Update via WiFi” section below.

c. Blinking Blue: If the WiFi LED blinks in blue for over 10 seconds, reset the WiFi Charging Cable. Insert a pin into the reset pinhole and press for 1 second. All three LEDs will briefly turn on and then off. If the reset is successful, the WiFi LED will turn solid red. Continue to step 3.

3. Open the WiFi settings on your smartphone, find the WiFi Charging Cable (identified as SENA WA-xxxxxx), and select it.

4. Open the Sena Motorcycles App. a. Continue to Setting on the top right corner of the screen.

5. Select WiFi network and enter the password. Note: Only 2.4 GHz network is supported.
6. Check the WiFi LED for solid blue. a. If the WiFi LED is solid blue, the WiFi Charging Cable is successfully configured and ready to update firmware automatically while charging the device. b. If the WiFi LED blinks in blue, wait until it turns solid red, then return to step 3. It takes a couple of minutes for the LED to turn solid red.
WiFi LED Note: If you change the WiFi network by replacing the router, you will have to reset and reconfigure the WiFi Charging Cable. Follow the instruction in step 2.c above.

Firmware Update via WiFi
1. Check the WiFi LED of the WiFi Charging Cable for solid blue.

2. Power off the Sena device to update. Note: If the device is powered on, it cannot be recognized by the WiFi Charging Cable.
3. Connect the device to the WiFi Charging Cable. The update will start automatically, and the Update LED of the WiFi Charging Cable will blink blue during the update.

4. If the device is successfully updated, the Update LED of the WiFi Charging Cable will turn solid blue. It takes approximately 10 minutes for the update.
