Signal Channel Bluetooth Relay Module: Basic Instructions and Configuration
Part 1: Basic Instructions
This section provides basic instructions for using the Signal Channel Bluetooth Relay Module.
1. Power Connection
Connect the IN+ and IN- terminals to a suitable power source.
- For the 5V version of the module, use a 5V power adapter.
- For the 12V version, use a 12V power adapter.

2. App Installation and Connection
Install the "BlueSPP_37" application on your Android phone. Enable your phone's Bluetooth function. Open the APP, tap "connect", and select the Bluetooth device (e.g., BTA-04, JDY-30). Enter the password. The default password is 1234.
[Image Description: Two screenshots of the BlueSPP_37 Android application. The first shows "Not Connected" status with a "CONNECT" button. The second displays a "Bluetooth pairing request" dialog for device "JDY-30", prompting for a PIN (suggesting 0000 or 1234). Both screens have "KEYBOARD" and "SWITCH" tabs and a note: "Press and hold the button down to customize."]
3. Function Block Setup
Press the function blocks within the app to configure them. Enter the name and content of the serial command for each block. For example:
- To open the relay: Command
A00101A2 - To close the relay: Command
A00100A1
[Image Description: A screenshot of the BlueSPP_37 app's "Button Editor" dialog. It allows naming a function block (e.g., "open-1", "close-1") and inputting serial commands in "Character" or "HEX" format. Example commands shown are "A0 01 01 A2" for Status ON and "A0 01 00 A1" for Status OFF. The dialog includes "Cancel" and "OK" buttons.]
4. Controlling the Relay
Finally, you can send serial commands to control the relay by clicking the configured function blocks in the app.
[Image Description: A screenshot of the BlueSPP_37 app's "SWITCH" tab, displaying a grid of function blocks with "open-1" active. The prompt "Press and hold the button down to customize." is visible.]

Part 2: Modifying Device Password and Name
This section explains how to modify the Bluetooth device's password and name using AT commands via UART.
AT Command Mode
AT commands are sent to the BLT device via UART to set its parameters. The device operates in AT mode when unconnected and in transparent transmission mode when connected.
Method: Using USB to TTL Serial Port Module
You will need a USB to TTL serial port module (e.g., FT232). Connect the 5V, TX, RX, and GND pins of the FT232 module to the IN+, TX, RX, and IN- pins of the relay module, respectively. Open serial debugging software on your PC and send AT commands to configure the BLT device.
FT232 Module Information ?

Below this is a photograph illustrating the connection: a USB to TTL serial adapter module (FT232 chip visible) is connected via USB cable and wired to the Bluetooth relay module's corresponding pins.]
1. Modifying the BLT Password
To change the password (default is 1234) to 8888, send the command AT+PIN8888.
[Image Description: A screenshot of the PC application "USR-TCP232-Test RS232 to Ethernet Convert tester". COM Settings show COM8, Baud Rate 9600. "COM port data receive" displays "+PIN=8888" and "OK". "Send Options" shows "AT+PIN8888" entered, ready to be sent.]
2. Modifying the BLT Name
To change the device name (default is BTA-04, JDY-30, etc.) to LCTECH, first send the command AT+NAMELCTECH, and then send AT+RESET to apply the new name.
[Image Description: A screenshot of the PC application "USR-TCP232-Test RS232 to Ethernet Convert tester". "COM port data receive" displays "+NAME=LCTECH", "OK", "+JDY-30-READY", and "+PAIRABLE". "Send Options" shows "AT+RESET" entered, ready to be sent.]
Common AT Commands
Here are some common AT commands for BLT devices:
- Test:
AT - Reset:
AT+RESET - Get version:
AT+VERSION - Restore default:
AT+DEFULT - Inquire Bluetooth address:
AT+LADDR - Set/Inquire device name:
AT+NAME(e.g., send"AT+NAMELCTECH", then"AT+RESET"to set the name to LCTECH) - Set/Inquire password:
AT+PIN(e.g., send"AT+PIN8888"to set the password to 8888)
For more AT command details, please refer to the BLT device datasheet (SPP-C AT command).
Kindly Remind
- If there is no response when sending an AT command, you may need to press ENTER before clicking "Send".
- When sending AT commands to configure the BLT device, ensure your phone is disconnected from the BLT device. Otherwise, the AT command will be invalid.
