ON / OFF
To turn the Keyboard on or off, move the switch on the top of the device to the “on” position.

PAIRING YOUR DEVICES

BLUETOOTH MODE

  • Wirelessly pair your keyboard to a compatible Bluetooth host device by holding SATECHI-SM3-Slim-Mechanical-Backlit-Bluetooth-Keyboard-FIG-18+ keys for ~3 seconds.

2.4GHZ USB RECEIVER

  • Connect the included 2.4GHz USB Receiver magnetized to the back of your keyboard and connect to a USB-A port on your host device or compatible adapter.SATECHI-SM3-Slim-Mechanical-Backlit-Bluetooth-Keyboard-FIG-5
  • Hold the 2.4GHz USB Receiver key for ~ 3 seconds to enable the receiver. The backlight will turn on for ~3s and then power off after a successful connection.SATECHI-SM3-Slim-Mechanical-Backlit-Bluetooth-Keyboard-FIG-6

WIRED MODE

  • Enable wired mode by holding the Wired Mode Key for ~3 seconds. The key backlight will turn on for ~3s and then power off after a successful connection.SATECHI-SM3-Slim-Mechanical-Backlit-Bluetooth-Keyboard-FIG-6Note: When in wired mode, the keyboard will charge at the same time if connected to a port that supports power delivery.

CHARGING YOUR KEYBOARD

CHARGING LED LIGHT

  • The Charging LED will illuminate blue while the device is charging.

FULLY CHARGED

  • Once the keyboard is fully charged, the Charging LED will turn off.

LOW POWER MODE

  • When the keyboard reaches low power mode, the space bar key will flash slowly (white) indicating low power.

OS SELECTION

MAC OS
If using macOS, upon pairing, hold FN + “O” for ~3 seconds. The backlight will turn on for ~3s and then power off after a successful connection.

WINDOWS
If using Windows, upon pairing, hold FN + “p” for ~ 3 seconds. The backlight will turn on for ~3s and then power off after a successful connection.

BACKLIGHT PATTERNS

14 TOTAL PATTERNS

  • To turn the backlight on/off, hold g: for ~5 seconds.
  • To switch between patterns, press the key once.
  • Increase backlight brightness using –
  • Decrease backlight brightness using –.
  • Increase the backlight speed fn + right arrow (>).
  • Decrease the backlight speed fn + left arrow (<).

FN LOCK

  • When the FN Lock is activated, the “Esc” key will flash every second, indicating the feature is enabled.
  • To disable the function lock, hold FN + ESC for 1-2 seconds or until the ESC key stops flashing.

SLEEP MODES

BLUETOOTH 1 & 2

  • After ~ 1 minute of inactivity, the backlight will turn off to conserve battery.
  • After 30 minutes of inactivity, the keyboard will go into sleep mode until a key is pressed.

2.4GHZ USB RECEIVER

  • After ~ 1 minute of inactivity, the backlight will turn off to conserve battery.
  • After 10 minutes of inactivity, the keyboard will go into sleep mode until a key is pressed.

WIRED MODE

  • When in wired mode, the keyboard will not go into sleep mode and will not turn off the backlight unless manually done.

IMPORTANT

  • Upon pairing, please select the correct operating system by holding FN + “O” for macOS, iPadOS, and iOS and FN + “p” for Windows operating systems. Failure to do so may result in your keyboard functioning improperly.
  • When wirelessly pairing to some Windows operating systems, it may require you to pair via Control Panel and not Bluetooth Settings.
  • Mechanical switches are soldered into PCB and are not hot-swappable. Please do not attempt to remove the switch from the keyboard.
  • Keyboard keycaps are removable and replaceable. It is recommended to use a key-cap puller when removing keys to ensure no damage will be done to the switch.
