2. Line Retrieval

To retrieve your line, simply turn the handle in the appropriate direction (clockwise for right-hand retrieve, counter-clockwise for left-hand retrieve). The 4.0:1 high-speed gear ratio ensures efficient line pickup.

3. Adjusting the Drag

The drag system controls the amount of resistance the line experiences when a fish pulls on it, preventing line breakage. Your Brutus reel offers 11 lbs of smooth drag.

1. Locate the drag adjustment knob, typically found on the top or side of the reel.
2. Turn the knob clockwise to increase drag tension (more resistance).
3. Turn the knob counter-clockwise to decrease drag tension (less resistance).
