RocketPen Exam is designed to be a reading assistant, and our goal is to make you an independent reader. Whether you need to read exam questions, do your homework, or simply want to read your favorite novel, we hope reading becomes less challenging and more enjoyable for you.
RocketPen Exam is a standalone and self-contained product and works without being connected to any other device or network.

RocketPen Parts
1 - Power On/Off
Press 3 seconds to power on or off. Press briefly to return from power-saving mode.
2 - Volume down button
3 - Volume up button
4 - Screen
The device’s display touch screen
5 - Read aloud button
6 - Back button
7 - Scan Trigger
Automatically activated when the pen is in contact with a surface. Scan light is turned on
8 - Type-C USB connector
Used for charging, upgrading and earphones
9 - Speaker
Used when text is read aloud. Muted when earphones are connected. 3
Getting Started
Press and hold the Power button for about 3 seconds. When the RocketPen Exam logo appears, release the button. After that, a logo animation should run, followed by Interface Language selection window:
(Note: If the display does not light up, charge the device for about 30 minutes).
After selecting the required Interface Language, the main menu appears:
ExamRead Application
1. Press the ExamRead application. A Scanning Language selection window appears:
2. Once a scanning language was selected, a Select Voice list appears:
3. After selecting the required voice, press Back button 
and “Ready to Scan in…” screen appears:
4. There are 2 scanning modes:
a. Continuous scanning
b. Single line scanning.
The default is Continuous scanning. Scan the lines one after another. By pressing the Read aloud button 
, the entire scanned text will be read aloud. Each word will be highlighted as it is spoken.
To activate single line scanning mode, press the icon 
.
To reactivate continuous scanning mode, press the icon 
.
Reading Aloud
To read aloud the entire scanned text, press the Read aloud button and the scanned text will be read aloud. If you wish to read only part of the scanned text, click on the word you wish to start from, and then press the Read aloud button. At any moment, pressing the Back button stops reading aloud.
ExamRead Settings 
Scanning Language 
:
View a list of available scanning languages. Use this option to change the current selection.
Voice Settings 
:
Use this option to modify the volume and reading speed default, and to select a different voice.
General Settings 
:
The General Settings includes the following general Pen settings:
Brightness 
Use this option to adjust the brightness of the display.
Screen Standby Time 
Use this option to change the default standby time.
Auto Shut-off Time 
Use this option to change the default shut-off time.
Left-Handed User 
Use this option to switch to left-handed user.
Scan Right-to-Left 
Use this option to switch to right-to-left scanning.
Interface Language
View the list of available interface languages and change the default language.
Software Upgrade 
Use this option to upgrade the RocketPen software.
Factory Reset
Use this option to reset all preferences.
