Product Usage Instructions
1. Initial Setup:
To operate the A200 Room Speaker, a network connection is
required. If not connected via LAN, ensure your mobile device has
Bluetooth and WLAN capabilities. Download the Revox Multiuser App
from the respective app store and install it on your device.
2. Charging the Battery:
Before using the A200, charge it using the enclosed USB-PD power
supply unit. The status LED will indicate the charging progress
(blue for charging, green for fully charged).
3. Accessing the Revox Multiuser App:
Scan the QR code on the protective film on the glass front of
your A200 using your mobile device to access the Revox Multiuser
App. Follow the link provided to download the app.
4. Operation & Connection:

Akku laden Vor Inbetriebnahme bitte den A200 Room Speaker mit dem beiliegenden USB-PD Netzteil laden. Während der Akku geladen wird, leuchtet die Status-LED blau. Nach erfolgreicher Ladung wechselt diese auf grün. Bei anderen Ladegeräten, die nicht die PD-Funktion unterstützen und/ oder weniger als 45W Ausgangsleistung besitzen, erfolgt keine Ladung.

A200 einschalten Durch Antippen der Taste startet man den A200. Befindet sich der A200 im Deep-Standby (Off-Zustand > 20 Minuten) vergehen ca. 30 Sekunden, bis der A200 einsatzbereit ist. Während des Hochfahrens zeigt er folgendes Display:
A200 ausschalten Taste (Play /Power) kurz antippen, der A200 befindet sich nun im Standby. Im reinem Akku-Betrieb (ohne Netzteil-Versorgung) wird anstelle des normalen Standbys nach 20 Minuten automatisch der Deep-Standby gewählt, um Akku-Kapazität zu sparen. Dabei ist der A200 bis zum Neustart über die Taste nicht mehr im Netzwerk sichtbar.
Hinweis User im Deep-Standby und Akku-Betrieb Im Deep-Standby ohne angeschlossenes Netzteil ist der A200 nicht mehr mit dem Netzwerk verbunden und sein bereitgestellter User nicht mehr sichtbar/ anwählbar.

Revox Connect
STUDIOMASTER A200 Room Speaker
Revox Connect ist eine Verbindungsroutine, die mit Hilfe von Bluetooth eine erste Verbindung zwischen dem A200 und Ihrem Mobilfunkgerät herstellt. Über die Multiuser App von Revox kann nun dem Audio-System via Bluetooth-Verbindung das WLAN-Netz mit dessen Schlüssel (Passwort) mitgeteilt werden.
Öffnen Sie die Multiuser-App und drücken Sie das blaue Connect* Zeichen unten rechts.
Mit einem Druck auf das Bluetooth-Feld startet man die Suche nach Multiuser-Geräten
Während der Suche wird das Symbol der Multiuser App gezeigt.
Der
gefundene
STUDIOMASTER wird
im Feld mit BT-Name
und BT-Stärke (RSSI)
angezeigt.
Nun selektiert man
das
gewünschte
WLAN.
Nachdem man das WLAN-Passwort eingetragen hat, schließt sich der Dialog und der A200 wird in der Multiuser App als erkanntes Gerät angezeigt und kann bedient werden.

Multispeaker-Betrieb
STUDIOMASTER A200 Room Speaker
Der Multispeaker-Modus erlaubt es, einen oder mehrere Clients mit einem Master dauerhaft zu koppeln. Das A200-Set verhält sich dann im Multiuser-Betrieb nach außen wie ein einziger Lautsprecher. Die rechts-/ links-Zuordnung wird im Audio-Menü vorgenommen. Es können mehrere unabhängige Multispeaker-Gruppen erstellt werden.
Die Funk-Audio-Verbindung zwischen den A200 (Master zu Client) wird über das A200-eigene WLAN hergestellt, wobei der A200-Master einen eigenen Hotspot generiert, mit dem sich die Clients über eine P2P-Verbindung koppeln können. [P2P = Peer-to-Peer]

Hinweis WLAN-Kanal Der WLAN-Kanal des Master-Hotspots ist immer der WLAN-Kanal des Routers, mit dem sich der Master verbunden hat. Im 5G-Bereich sind die Kanäle 52-144 als Hotspot nicht erlaubt, deshalb muss ein Master immer außerhalb dieser WLAN-Kanäle mit dem Router verbunden sein. Alternativ kann der Master kabelgebunden mit LAN versorgt werden; dann wird automatisch als WLAN-Hotspot der Kanal 149 für den Client vom Master gewählt.

Audio-Einstellungen

Der Audiostream des A200 beinhaltet immer den rechten und linken Kanal. Im Audio-Menü des A200 kann man entscheiden, ob der A200 nur einen (R oder L) oder beide Kanäle (Mono = L +R) wiedergeben soll. Besonders im Multispeaker-Betrieb ist diese Zuordnung wichtig, um eine korrekte Audiowiedergabe zu ermöglichen.

*STUDIOART P100 Zusatzlautsprecher Der STUDIOMASTER A200 besitzt eine extra Endstufe, mit der der Passivlautsprecher STUDIOART P100 betrieben werden kann. So ist ein beindruckender Stereo-Betrieb einfach zu realisieren. Der P100 wird ab Werk mit einem konfektionierten 3m Kabel ausgeliefert, das nach eigenen Bedürfnissen gekürzt werden kann. Den STUDIOART P100 verbindet man am einfachsten im Standby des A200. Beim nächsten Einschalten des A200 wird der P100 automatisch erkannt. Wenn der A200 während der Verkabelung mit dem P100 eingeschaltet war, wird der P100 nicht erkannt und bleibt stumm. In diesem Fall einfach den A200 über die Play/Power Taste einmal ausschalten und ca. 4 Sekunden warten. Danach ist der P100 erkannt und wird im Display angezeigt. Sollte die Aufstellungssituation so sein, dass der STUDIOMASTER A200 auf der linken Seite steht, kann in den A200 Ton-Einstellungen in der Multiuser
App oder direkt im Audio-Menü des A200 die rechts-/ links-Zuordnung einfach getauscht werden. Im Stereobetrieb ist die Akkulaufzeit entsprechend leicht kürzer als im Monobetrieb.

Die Multiuser | Multiroom Systeme von Revox gehen viel weiter als herkömmliche Produkte. Sie ermöglichen höchste Klangqualität und einzigartige Individualität für jeden einzelnen Nutzer in einem Raum und auch in mehreren Räumen.
Und hier greifen die Vorteile des Revox Multiuser Systems: jedes Revox System, egal ob in einem Raum oder in mehreren Räumen als Multiroom-Lösung aufgebaut, bietet mehrere Benutzerprofile mit eigenen User Favoriten. So können Musikquellen oder Inhalte (Radiosender, Playlisten, etc.) gezielt an die eigenen Bedürfnisse angepasst werden. Jeder A200 erweitert dabei das Multiuser-System um ein Benutzerprofil. Sind in einem Netzwerk/ Heimnetz z.B. vier A200 angemeldet, können 4 Benutzer unabhängig das Multiuser-System bedienen.
Jeder User (Benutzer) kann seinen Namen eingeben, so ist jedes Familienmitglied sichtbar. Nachdem man sein Benutzerprofil ausgewählt hat, kann dieses in der App weiter personalisiert werden, indem man z.B. seinen Lieblingssender oder eine spezielle Playlist auswählt und diesen über das 3-Punkt-Symbol zu seinen User Favoriten hinzufügt. Der neue User Favorit wird am unteren Ende der Favoritenliste platziert und kann dort durch Halten und Schieben sortiert werden. Neben einzelnen Favoriten kann auch ein Favoriten-Ordner angelegt werden, der einzelne Favoriten beinhaltet.

Im Beispiel oben gibt es einzelne Favoriten (01, 02, 04) und einen Favoriten-Ordner (03). Letzter beinhaltet 4 Unterfavoriten (C1-C4). Ein Favoriten-Ordner wird mit dem Ordner-Symbol angezeigt.
Die Pfeile zeigen die Richtung an, mit der man über die Skip-Tasten die Favoriten direkt am A200 durchlaufen kann. In der Multiuser-App hat man einen Direktzugriff.

First steps
STUDIOMASTER A200 Room Speaker
A network connection is required to operate the A200. If the integration into your own network is not wired via LAN, you need a mobile device (smartphone or tablet) with Bluetooth and WLAN (WiFi) function. First, please download the Revox Multiuser App from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store and install it on your device.
You will receive a direct link via the QR code on the protective film on the glass front of your A200. Simply use the QR scanner on your handset to scan the QR code on the right and follow the link. The link is equally valid for iOS and Android devices.

Charging the battery Please charge the A200 Room Speaker with the enclosed USB-PD power supply unit before using it. While the battery is charging, the status LED lights up blue. Switching on the A200 Press the button to start the A200. If the A200 is in deep standby (off state > 20 minutes), it will take approx. 30 seconds before the A200 is ready for use. During start-up, it shows the following display:
Switch off the A200 Briefly press the (Play /Power) button, the A200 is now in standby mode. In battery-only mode (without mains supply), deep standby is automatically selected after 20 minutes instead of normal standby to save battery capacity. The A200 is no longer visible on the network until it is restarted using the button.
Note Users in deep standby and battery mode In deep standby without the power supply connected, the A200 is no longer connected to the network and the user provided is no longer visible/selectable.

Revox Connect

Revox Connect is a connection routine that uses Bluetooth to establish an initial connection between the A200 and your mobile device. Using the Revox Multiuser app, the A200 can now be informed of the WLAN network with its key (password) via a Bluetooth connection.
Open the Multiuser app and press the blue Connect* icon at the bottom right.
Press the Bluetooth field to start the search for Multiuser device
The Multiuser app icon is displayed during the search.
The STUDIOMASTER found is displayed in the field with the BT name and BT strength (RSSI).
Now select the desired WLAN.
Once you have entered the WLAN password, the dialog closes and the A200 is displayed in the Multiuser app as a recognized device and can be operated.

Multispeaker operation

Multispeaker mode allows one or more clients to be permanently paired with a master. The A200 set then behaves like a single loudspeaker in Multiuser mode. The right/left assignment is made in the Audio menu. Several independent multispeaker groups can be created. The wireless audio connection between the A200s (master to client) is established via the A200’s own WLAN, whereby the A200 master generates its own hotspot to which the clients can connect via a P2P connection. [P2P = Peer-to-Peer]

Note WLAN channel The Wi-Fi channel of the master hotspot is always the Wi-Fi channel of the router to which the master has connected. In the 5G range, channels 52-144 are not permitted as a hotspot, which is why a master must always be connected to the router outside of these Wi-Fi channels. Alternatively, the master can be supplied with a wired LAN; channel 149 is then automatically selected by the master as the Wi-Fi hotspot for the client.

Audio settings

The audio stream of the A200 always contains the right and left channel. In the audio menu of the A200, you can decide whether the A200 should only play one (R or L) or both channels (mono = L +R). This assignment is particularly important in multispeaker mode to ensure correct audio playback.

Left and right channels are added to form a mono channel; the A200 plays solo. *STUDIOART P100 additional loudspeaker
The STUDIOMASTER A200 has an extra power amplifier that can be used to drive the STUDIOART P100 passive loudspeaker. This makes it easy to achieve impressive stereo operation. The P100 is supplied ex works with a prefabricated 3m cable, which can be shortened to suit your own requirements. The STUDIOART P100 is best connected when the A200 is in standby mode. The next time the A200 is switched on, the P100 is automatically recognized. If the A200 was switched on during the connection to the P100, the P100 will not be recognized and will remain mute. In this case, simply switch off the A200 once using the Play/Power button and wait approx. 4 seconds. The P100 is then recognized and shown on the display. If the setup situation is such that the STUDIOMASTER A200 is on the left side, the right/left assignment can simply be swapped in the A200 sound settings in the Multiuser app or directly in the audio menu of the A200. In stereo mode, the battery life is slightly shorter than in mono mode.

Multiuser system – what is it?
Multiroom solutions offer the possibility of listening to music in several rooms simultaneously and individually. Revox has been a leading provider of special audio solutions for over 40 years and offers the highest level of exclusivity with its products. Multiuser | Multiroom Systems from Revox go much further than conventional products. They enable the highest sound quality and unique individuality for every single user in one room but also in several rooms.
And this is where the advantages of the Revox Multiuser System come into play: every Revox system, whether set up in one room or in several rooms as a Multiroom solution, offers several user profiles with their own user favorites. This means that music sources or content (radio stations, playlists, etc.) can be specifically adapted to your own needs. Each A200 adds a user profile to the multiuser system. If, for example, four A200s are registered in a network/home network, four users can operate the multiuser system independently.
Each user can enter their name so that every family member is visible. Once you have selected your user profile, you can personalize it further in the app, e.g. by selecting your favorites station or a special playlist and adding it to your user favorites using the 3-dot symbol. The new user favorite is placed at the bottom of the favorites list and can be sorted there by holding and sliding. In addition to individual favorites, you can also create a favorites folder containing individual favorites.

In the example above, there are individual favorites (01,02,04) and a favorites folder (03). The latter contains 4 sub-favorites (C1-C4). A favorites folder is displayed with the folder symbol.
The arrows indicate the direction in which you can scroll through the favorites directly on the A200 using the skip buttons. You have direct access in the multi-user app.
