I have purchased the MMB Thread Mesh Extender and would like to mount it securely to extend the range of my Thread mesh network. I am unsure about the mounting process and want to ensure that it is done correctly to optimize the device's performance.
To mount the MMB Thread Mesh Extender securely and effectively, follow these steps as outlined in the user manual:
1. What you'll need: Gather a drill or screwdriver, #4 Flat Head Screws, wall plugs (optional, depending on the material the mount is affixed to), and any necessary safety and protective equipment.
2. Installation: The MMB TME can be easily and securely mounted. Choose a central and unobstructed location for optimal range and performance.
3. Placement and Orientation: The MMB TME can be mounted on walls or ceilings. Ideally, mount it vertically on a flat wall with the Power and Ethernet cables facing down. Maintain a clearance of 2cm on all sides.
4. Avoid Obstructions: Do not install the MMB TME in a cabinet, metal container, behind walls, or low to the ground. Ensure it is placed in a central location for the best coverage.
5. Mounting Bracket Installation: Use the provided #4 Flat Head Screws to install the Mounting Bracket securely. Ensure the bracket is level and flush with the wall or ceiling surface.
