I've noticed some residue and spotting inside my kettle and I suspect it may be due to limescale build-up. How can I descale the kettle to remove these deposits?
To descale the Ovente KP72B 1.7 Liter Cordless Electric Kettle, you can follow these steps:
1. Mix a solution that is 3/4 parts water to 1/4 part vinegar or lemon juice.
2. Pour the solution into the kettle and close the lid.
3. Bring the solution to a boil and leave it for 5-8 hours.
4. Discard the solution.
5. If the limescale build-up persists, repeat the process from Step 1 until the deposits dissipate.
Caution: The solution may be extremely hot during this process, so handle with care.
