I recently purchased the Directed 3100L Avital 1-Way Security System and I'm not sure how to program the remote control. Can you provide step-by-step instructions?
To program the remote control for the Directed 3100L Avital 1-Way Security System, follow these steps:
1. Open a door to activate the system.
2. Turn the ignition on and then off.
3. Press and release the Valet/Program switch the number of times corresponding to the desired channel (refer to the Features Menu in the manual for channel numbers).
4. Press and hold the Valet/Program switch.
5. The LED will flash to indicate the accessed feature.
6. While holding the Valet/Program switch, press the button on the remote control that you want to assign to that channel.
7. The system will chirp to confirm successful programming.
8. Release the Valet/Program switch.
Note: You can program up to four remote controls to the system. Make sure to follow the specific button assignments for each feature as outlined in the manual.
