To install the batteries in the C. Crane CCRadio-2E, follow these steps:
1. Position the radio face down on a soft surface to protect it.
2. Remove the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert four "D" cell batteries into the compartment, making sure to follow the correct polarity indicated in the drawing provided in the manual. The negative (-) end of the batteries should be against the spring.
4. Replace the battery cover.
5. You are now ready to operate your radio.
