1. Turn off and unplug the lamp from the outlet.
2. Wait for at least two hours to allow the lamp and bulb to cool down.
3. Carefully remove the glass globe from the base and set it aside in a safe location.
4. Wait for at least one hour for the bulb to cool down completely before handling it.
5. Once the bulb is cool to the touch, carefully unscrew it from the base and discard it safely.
6. Replace the old bulb with a new 25-watt incandescent bulb. Make sure to use only LAVA replacement appliance bulbs.
