I am having trouble detaching and reattaching the blade assembly of my Imusa GAU-80322R Electric Can Opener. I want to clean it properly but I am unsure of the correct procedure. Can you provide step-by-step instructions?
To detach the blade assembly from the Imusa GAU-80322R Electric Can Opener, follow these steps:
1. Lift the lever to the vertical position.
2. Hold the can opener body with one hand.
3. Gently pull the blade assembly away from the front of the unit with the other hand.
4. Wash the blade assembly in warm sudsy water and rinse and dry thoroughly. Be careful not to touch the blade as it is extremely sharp.
To reattach the blade assembly back on the unit, follow these steps:
1. Hold the lever in the vertical position.
2. Insert the blade assembly into the keyhole located near the drive wheel.
3. Push the lever in all the way.
4. Rotate the lever clockwise until it is horizontal.
Note: If the blade assembly is properly engaged, it cannot be removed from the can opener when in the horizontal position. Be careful not to touch the blade as it is extremely sharp.
