How do I start my Coleman Powermate generator?

To start your Coleman Powermate generator, follow these steps:

1. Place the generator on a level surface and ensure it is secure.
2. Check the engine oil level and add oil if necessary.
3. Open the fuel shut-off valve.
4. Turn the engine ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
5. Slide the engine choke lever to the Full CHOKE position.
6. Firmly grasp the recoil handle and pull slowly until you feel increased resistance.
7. Pull the recoil handle rapidly up and away to start the engine.
8. Once the engine starts, move the choke lever to the 1/2 CHOKE position until the engine runs smoothly.
9. Move the choke lever to the ON position.
10. Disconnect any electrical loads from the generator's receptacles before starting or stopping the unit.
