To set up and configure the NEXSENS X2 Environmental Iridium Data Logger for field deployment, follow these steps:
1. **Pre-Deployment Setup:**
- Configure the X2 system with sensors and a web connection in a nearby work area.
- Operate the system for several hours to ensure correct sensor readings and become familiar with its features.
2. **WQData LIVE Setup:**
- Go to WQDataLIVE.com and create or sign in to your account.
- Choose or create a project for the data logger.
- Open the project, go to the ADMIN tab, and click Settings.
- Select the site for the data logger or create a new site if needed.
- Enter the claim code provided in the manual under Assigned Devices and click Add Device.
3. **Iridium Account Setup:**
- If not purchased through NexSens, set up an Iridium Short-burst data (SBD) account at nexsens.com/wqsetiracc.
- If using Gmail for the SBD account, provide WQData LIVE access through nexsens.com/wqsetgmir.
- Enter the iridium account information in the Advanced Device Remote Configuration settings on WQData LIVE at nexsens.com/wqconfir.
4. **Data Logger Setup:**
- Use the CONNECT software following the instructions at nexsens.com/connirist to set the proper settings on the X2 and push sensor configuration to WQData LIVE.
- Connect power (5 to 24VDC) to the center port and ensure sensors are connected correctly.
- Wait for the system to check cellular coverage. LED indicators will show the status.
5. **LED Light Indicators:**
- Blue LED blinking three times indicates sufficient cellular strength.
- Blue LED blinking once indicates low cell coverage. Move to a better location.
- Check for system errors indicated by the LED colors (Green, Yellow, Red).
6. **Additional Information:**
- WQData LIVE setup is automatically done after sensor detection.
- System errors may require attention and can be indicative of a major problem.
