To drain the dehumidifier using the gravity draining method, follow these steps:
1. **For Models without a Pump:**
- Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug the power supply cord.
- Uncover the connector cover on the side of the unit.
- Remove the bucket.
- Attach a garden hose to the drain hose connector on the inside of the dehumidifier. Ensure the hose is securely attached to prevent water leaks.
- Reinstall the bucket.
2. **For Models with a Pump:**
- Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug the power supply cord.
- Uncover the connector cover on the back of the unit.
- Attach a garden hose to the drain hose connector on the back of the dehumidifier. Ensure the hose is securely attached to prevent water leaks.
- Place the other end of the garden hose into a floor drain, ensuring it lies flat and is at a lower level than the hose connector on the dehumidifier.
**Important Notes:**
- The garden hose connectors are 3/4 inch diameter straight thread with a pitch of 11.5 threads per inch.
- Ensure the hose is not kinked or pinched to allow proper drainage.
- To use the bucket without the garden hose, simply remove the hose and reinstall the bucket.
- For models with a pump, you may cover the connector cover after removing the garden hose.
