To record audio from a specific application into your DAW using Source-Nexus Pro, follow these steps:
1. Configure the Audio out of the application you want to record from to use Source-Nexus A.
2. Put the Source-Nexus plug-in on an auxiliary-type track in your DAW.
3. Select Source-Nexus A channels 1 & 2 as the Receive in the Source-Nexus plug-in.
For applications like iTunes or QuickTime that don't allow you to set the device, you can set your System Preferences to use Source-Nexus A for the output. This way, you can record and monitor the audio in your DAW.
It's crucial to ensure that you do not route the signal into itself, meaning you should not set the input and output of your application to both Source-Nexus A (or both B).
By following these steps and correctly setting up the routing in Source-Nexus Pro, you can seamlessly record audio from various applications directly into your DAW for further editing and processing.
