To assemble the TrackSawGuideTM for use with your circular saw, follow these step-by-step instructions based on the provided manual:
1. **Unpacking and Verifying Parts:**
- Unpack all items and ensure all components are present before discarding any packing material.
- Contact Customer Service if any parts are missing.
2. **Assembling the Track:**
- Place the aluminum guide rails face down and remove the rail end caps.
- Slide the rail connectors halfway into the outer two T-slots on the bottom of Track 1 and secure them with the provided hex key.
- Position Track 2 next to Track 1, push them together firmly, and secure with the hex key.
- Flip the track back onto the non-slip side.
3. **Attaching Glide Adjusters:**
- Attach the four glide adjusters to the TrackSaw base and apply pressure towards the red guide strip.
- Tighten the glide adjusters against the guide rail wall in the opposite direction to ensure smooth sliding for the desired cut length.
4. **Mounting Circular Saw to the TrackSaw Base:**
- Place the saw blade spacer on the edge of your work surface with the logo facing up.
- Position the TrackSaw base on top of the saw blade spacer, ensuring it sits into the guide tracks and lays flat on the work surface.
- Secure the saw on the TrackSaw base with the saw clamps and adjust the end stops to prevent over-cutting.
5. **Calibrating the Guide Rail and Saw:**
- Secure the aluminum guide rail to a scrap board using the center T-track with track clamps.
- Set the depth of cut by placing the circular saw on the track and lowering the blade no more than 1/8" deeper than the board.
- Cut along the entire length of the aluminum guide rail to calibrate the TrackSaw base to your saw.
6. **Making the Cut:**
- Set the depth of cut by placing the circular saw and TrackSaw base on the track.
- Engage the TrackSaw base into the guide rail and cut until the piece is finished.
Always follow safety guidelines and refer to the manual for detailed instructions on using the TrackSawGuideTM with your circular saw.
