To connect and configure the 4O3A CAT2BCD RS232/CI-V to BCD Decoder, follow these steps:
1. **Hardware Connections:**
- Connect the device to your transceiver's CAT output using the RS232 input connector (DB9 male).
- Connect the device to any other device that requires RS232 CAT data using the RS232 output connector (DB9 female).
- Connect your ICOM transceiver's CI-V output to the CI-V input connector (3.5mm stereo).
- Connect any other device that requires CI-V data to the CI-V output connector (3.5mm stereo).
- If you have an older ICOM transceiver that outputs band data, connect it to the Icom voltage control band input connector (2.5mm mono).
- Use the BCD output connector (DB9 female) to control peripherals with BCD data, such as Antenna Genius or amplifiers.
2. **Software Configuration:**
- Connect the device to your PC via USB using the USB connector on the front panel.
- Download and install the Windows application from the 4O3A.com downloads page.
- Open the Windows application and click "Connect" to establish communication with the device.
- Configure the CAT/CI-V settings using the software interface.
- Verify the radio band data input to ensure proper functionality.

- The CI-V address should be typed in decimal format, and you can view the hexadecimal value on the right of the input box.
