To set up triple monitors using the ACT AC7046 USB-C Docking Station, follow these steps:
1. Ensure your laptop supports DP-Alternate mode or Thunderbolt™3 on its USB-C port.
2. Connect the power adapter to the docking station and plug it into an electrical outlet.
3. Connect the USB-C cable from the docking station to your laptop's USB-C port.
4. Connect your monitors to the HDMI and DisplayPort ports on the docking station.
5. For triple monitor setup, connect two monitors to the HDMI and DisplayPort ports for a maximum resolution of 2x 4K @ 30Hz. The third monitor can be connected for a resolution of 1080P @ 60Hz if DSC is not supported by your laptop. If your laptop supports DSC, you can achieve a maximum resolution of 4K @ 60Hz on all three displays.
Please note that for the AC7046 to display the maximum resolution of 4K on all three monitors, your laptop needs to support DP1.4 and DSC. Check your laptop's technical specifications for compatibility.
