To configure a Data Storage Client using the Microsemi SmartDesign MSS Embedded Nonvolatile Memory (eNVM) configurator, follow these steps as outlined in the user guide:
1. Open the eNVM configurator and navigate to the Client Configuration dialog.
2. Specify the following values for the Data Storage Client:
- **Content:** Choose between selecting a Memory File or No content.
- **Memory File:** Select a file on disk in one of the supported formats - Intel-Hex, Motorola-S, Actel-S, or Actel-Binary.
- **Use absolute addressing:** Allows the memory content file to dictate the client's placement in the eNVM block.
- **Start Address:** Define the eNVM address where the content will be programmed.
- **Size of Word:** Select the word size (8, 16, or 32 bits) for the initialized client.
- **Number of words:** Specify the number of words for the client.
3. Optionally, enable JTAG Protection to prevent read and write of eNVM content from the JTAG port for security.
4. Save the configuration for the Data Storage Client.
