**Sensor Replacement Procedure:**
1. **Switch the meter OFF:** Ensure the leak detector is powered off before attempting to replace the sensor.
2. **Unscrew the probe tip collar:** Rotate the probe tip collar (6) counterclockwise to loosen and remove it from the detector.
3. **Remove the existing diode sensor:** Carefully grip the existing sensor (7) with a small pliers or similar tool. Gently pull the sensor out of the cavity until the sensor’s connector is exposed. Be cautious to avoid damaging the wires.
4. **Disconnect the existing sensor:** Unplug the existing sensor from the 3-conductor connector, ensuring the correct orientation (black wire on connector aligns with black ‘dot’ on sensor).
5. **Replace the sensor:** Insert the new sensor in the proper orientation into the connector. Make sure the black wire on the connector aligns with the black ‘dot’ on the sensor.
6. **Re-attach the protective collar:** Securely place the protective collar back onto the probe tip and xxxx it clockwise to tighten.
7. **Power ON the meter:** Only switch on the leak detector once the new sensor and collar are securely in place.
**Note:** Always refer to the user manual for detailed instructions and illustrations on sensor replacement. Proper sensor replacement is crucial for the accurate functioning of the Triplett RLD400 Refrigerant Leak Detector.
