To test if the ALCI is functioning properly on your Conair SD6 3-in-1 Styling Dryer, follow these steps:
1. Plug in the appliance.
2. Press the test button on the plug.
3. The appliance should stop working, and you should hear an audible click.
4. The reset button on the plug will pop out, indicating that the ALCI is functioning properly.
5. To reset the ALCI, unplug the unit, push the reset button in, and reinsert the plug into the outlet.
6. If the ALCI is not functioning properly (i.e., the appliance does not stop working when the test button is pressed), return the appliance to the nearest service center for examination.
It is important to repeat this test every time you use the unit to confirm that the ALCI is operational. If the appliance goes off during use and the reset button pops up, remove the plug from the outlet, allow the appliance to cool, and then reinsert the plug. If the appliance still does not function properly, return it to a Conair service center for examination and repair.
