To install additional memory modules on the SUPERMICRO SuperServer AS-2014S-TR Single Processor Server, follow these steps:
1. Ensure you have DDR4 DIMM modules of the same type, size, and speed for optimal performance.
2. Power off the server and disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets for safety.
3. Open the server chassis according to the manufacturer's instructions.
4. Identify the DIMM slots on the motherboard. The recommended memory population sequence is as follows:
- 1 DIMM (supported but not recommended) - CPU1 Channel A1
- 2 DIMMs (supported but not recommended) - CPU1 Channel A1, B1
- 4 DIMMs (conditionally recommended if 32 cores or fewer) - CPU1 Channel A1, B1, C1, D1
- 8 DIMMs - CPU1 Channel A1, B1, C1, D1, E1, F1, G1, H1
5. Insert the DDR4 DIMM modules into the corresponding DIMM slots following the recommended population sequence.
6. Ensure the DIMM modules are securely seated in the slots.
7. Close the server chassis and reconnect all power cords.
8. Power on the server and verify that the additional memory is recognized by the system.
