To program the address for the SIEMENS HI921 Heat Detector, each detector must be set to respond to an address between 001 - 252 using the Model DPU Device Programming Unit. The detector address should be recorded on the detector label and base to prevent installation errors. The HI921 offers various temperature settings that can be selected based on the system requirements:
1. Fixed temperature settings:
- 135 °F (57 °C)
- 145 °F (63 °C)
- 155 °F (68 °C)
- 165 °F (74 °C)
- 174 °F (79 °C)
2. Rate-of-rise detection:
- 15 °F/min (8.3 °C) at fixed 135 °F (57 °C)
- 15 °F/min (8.3 °C) at fixed 174 °F (79 °C)
Additionally, some panels can be configured to include a low-temperature warning at 40 °F (4.4 °C).
Ensure to refer to the DPU Manual, P/N 315-033260 for detailed programming instructions and follow the corresponding description of the panel used for selecting the appropriate temperature setting.
