To set the output LUFS level on the C4 Livestream Audio Processor, follow these steps:
1. **Loudness Control Mode Off:** When the loudness control mode is set to "off", the multifunction adjustment control acts as an output level control. In this mode, the Audio Chameleon C4 sets the output LUFS level to -10 LUFS, providing a more "dense" processing texture similar to broadcast radio.
2. **Adjusting LUFS Target:** If you wish to adjust the LUFS target to your desired level, you can do so by reducing the output level without changing the audio processing texture. Turning the multifunction control clockwise increases the LUFS target, while turning it counter-clockwise decreases the LUFS target.
- At 20 turns clockwise (maximum), the LUFS target is -14 LUFS, resulting in a denser processing texture.
- At 20 turns counter-clockwise, the LUFS target is -24 LUFS, leading to a more "open" sounding processing ideal for transparent audio leveling applications.
3. **Activity LEDs:** Keep an eye on the activity LEDs on the C4 Livestream Audio Processor:
- Amber LED: Indicates "Gain Lock" when processing is frozen or "gated".
- Green LED: Shows active audio processing.
- Red LED: Indicates input overdrive or clipping.
By adjusting the multifunction control and monitoring the activity LEDs, you can effectively set the output LUFS level on the C4 Livestream Audio Processor to suit your audio processing needs.
