To install the SPECTRA Stack Shipping Bracket in your Spectra Stack tape library, follow these step-by-step instructions as outlined in the manual:
1. **Prepare Materials and Tools:**
- Required: #1 Phillips screwdriver, small screwdriver.
- Recommended: Anti-static mat, static protection wristband or grounding foot strap.
2. **Ensure ESD Protection:**
- Use ESD protection measures to prevent electrostatic discharge.
- Place a static protection mat on your work surface.
- Wear a static protection wristband or grounding foot strap when handling components.
3. **Install the Shipping Bracket:**
- Remove the top cover of the library.
- Move the drive bay cover to slot 1 position at the bottom.
- Unlock the shipping lock inside the library.
- Raise the robotic elevator and hold it in place.
- Install the robotic shipping bracket in slot 5 drive bay.
- Secure the bracket with screws.
- Release the elevator and let it rest on the bracket.
- Engage the shipping lock.
- Replace the top cover.
4. **Remove the Shipping Bracket:**
- Before powering on the library, remove the bracket.
- Remove the top cover.
- Unlock the shipping lock.
- Remove the screws securing the bracket to the chassis.
- Hold the robotic elevator in place and remove the bracket.
- Store the bracket and screws for future use.
- Move the drive bay cover back to slot 5 position.
- Replace the top cover if necessary.
By following these instructions carefully, you can properly install and remove the shipping bracket in your Spectra Stack tape library to ensure safe transit of the equipment.
