To add additional hard disks to your uniview UNV-3 Series Network Video Recorder, follow these steps based on the user manual:
1. **Preparation:**
- Prepare a 1# or 2# Philips screwdriver and a pair of antistatic gloves or a wrist strap.
- Disconnect power before installation.
2. **1 or 2 HDD Installation:**
- Loosen the screws on the rear panel and side panel and remove the upper cover.
- Insert the screws into the disk and tighten halfway.
- Slide the disk into place from point A to point B and secure with screws.
- Connect power and data cables.
- Put the cover back in place and tighten the screws.
3. **4 or 8 HDD Installation:**
- Remove Upper Cover: Loosen the screws on the upper cover, slide it backward, then lift it up to remove.
- Install Disks: Follow specific steps based on the device model (mounting plate or disk bracket).
4. **8 or 16 HDD Installation:**
- Fix mounting brackets to the disk with screws.
- Install the disks by aligning with the slot and sliding inward gently until it clicks.
- Reinstall the front panel.
