To measure voltage using the DIGILOG ELECTRONICS DT9205A Digital Multimeter, follow these steps:
1. Connect the BLACK test lead to the “COM” jack and the RED test lead to the “VΩ” jack.
2. Set the function switch to the desired V or V range based on the voltage you expect to measure. If the voltage magnitude is unknown, select the highest range.
3. Connect the test leads across the source or load you want to measure the voltage of.
4. Read the LCD display for the voltage reading. The polarity of the RED lead connection will be indicated for DC measurements.
**Additional Tips:**
- In small range measurements, the meter may show an unstable reading if the test leads are not connected to the load. This is normal and won't affect the accuracy of the measurement.
- If the display shows the over range symbol “1”, switch to a higher range setting.
- Avoid measuring voltages exceeding 600Vdc for DC or 600Vac for AC to prevent damage to the multimeter.
