To safely eject the drives from the OYEN DIGITAL Fortis 5C USB-C External Drive Enclosure, follow these steps based on the provided user guide:
1. **For Mac:**
- Close all windows and applications that are accessing the drive.
- Drag the drive icon to the Trash/Eject icon to dismount it.
- The activity LED will cycle on/off, and the HDD will spin down.
2. **For Windows:**
- Close all applications that are accessing the drive.
- Click the “Eject Hardware” (Safely Remove) icon in the system tray.
- Select the drive you want to eject.
- The activity LED will cycle off, and the drive will spin down.
Properly ejecting the drives ensures that any pending read/write operations are completed, and the drive is safely dismounted from the system, reducing the risk of data corruption.
