To pair the wireless foot controller with the receiver in the autoscript FC-WIRELESS-IP Autocue Wireless Foot Controller Kit, follow these steps:
1. Ensure the foot controller has a fully charged 9v battery inserted into the battery tray.
2. Turn on the foot controller by pressing the power button near the antenna until an ORANGE dot appears, indicating the unit is ON.
3. Check the receiver to confirm that the LNK light is illuminated GREEN, indicating that the units are paired.
4. Verify that the OPR light on the receiver is flashing RED, confirming that data is being transmitted between the foot controller and the receiver.
If you encounter issues with pairing, follow these troubleshooting steps:
- Check the battery level in the foot controller and replace if necessary.
- Open the foot controller and inspect the transmitter for any visible issues.
- Re-pair the transmitter and receiver units following the instructions provided in the Handyport HPS-120 manual.
- If the battery is draining quickly, consider factors such as continuous usage time, battery type (rechargeable batteries may have shorter life), and distance between the transmitter and receiver affecting battery life.
- If the controller appears GREEN in WinPlus-IP but is not functioning, remember that the GREEN indicator in WinPlus-IP only signifies the connection to the G452-006 (UDS1100) Ethernet to serial adapter. Check the connections from the adapter to the receiver and from the receiver to the transmitter for proper functionality.
