To program the HomeLink Compatibility Bridge with your garage door opener, follow these steps as outlined in the manual:
1. **Prepare Your Vehicle:** Park your vehicle outside of the garage before starting the programming process. It is recommended to have two people for this task.
2. **Program the Remote Control:** Program the new remote control that comes with the HomeLink Compatibility Bridge to the HomeLink button in your vehicle. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for specific programming steps.
3. **Plug in the Compatibility Bridge:** Plug the HomeLink Compatibility Bridge into a 120 Vac polarized outlet located close to your garage door opener.
4. **Straighten the Antenna:** Ensure the antenna is straight for optimal signal reception.
5. **Initiate Programming Mode:** Press and release the YELLOW Learn button on your garage door opener. The Learn LED will glow steadily.
6. **Program the HomeLink Button:** Within 30 seconds, press and hold the programmed HomeLink button in your vehicle. Release the HomeLink button when the garage door opener light blinks. If there are no light bulbs installed in the garage door opener, you will hear two clicks indicating successful programming.
7. **Test Operation:** To confirm that the garage door opener operates from the HomeLink button, press the programmed HomeLink button in your vehicle. If it does not work, repeat the programming steps.
**Additional Notes:**
- If your garage door opener has a Battery Backup system, ensure the original remote control is programmed to the opener and keep it in your glove box for emergencies.
- The remote control included with the Compatibility Bridge must be retained for future programming needs.
